You watch the level of play from the teams around the country that are in the mix and NU is struggling to even be somewhat close...disturbing

Improvement since last year or since last game?

I think we are improved over all with playing ability but i honestly dont feel we have the talent to be ranked this high. Ill take it but i feel the high wont last. I hope im wrong

I agree with Lyons. We would see more progress if we didn't have 5 starters out and several more with nicks. Our O line wasn't deep to start with and loosing Foster hurt early. Right now they are a patchwork and 2 of Tommy's top targets didn't make the trip yesterday,

It wouldn't make up for losing to Illinois, but it would sure make me feel better moving forward.

The thing is, a victory over Wisconsin isn't going to be a huge accomplishment by season's end. It will be good in the moment, but I think most people will see that Wisconsin just isn't that good. This game will be very low scoring. 17-10 kind of game.

It probably won't be seen as a big win but I think it's needed to keep the wheels from falling off

Anyone who is calling for a coaching change at this point is a child. And children are meant to be seen and not heard, so it would then be the mods job to go ahead and ban them at that point.

We spent most of that game, if not all, in nickel. And seeing a healthy Zaire instead of a what is still probably a hobbled Santos, was a better choice. Zaire just needs to be on the field at all times. Period. We will need Santos donw the road thought against Minny, Wiscy, and Iowa.

Sumlin is an example of all those people who repeatedly say it can't happen. Year in, year out, this guy loses coaches, replaces players, changed conferences, and boy, they sure as hell don't look like it mattered at all.
