Tangent:  I used to have a roommate from China.  I got some cottage cheese one day and put it in the fridge.  The next morning I came downstairs to find him at the table eating a cottage cheese sandwich for breakfast.  Apparently he'd never had cottage cheese before.  He thought it was some kind of sandwich spread.  // I sorta want to try it.  But I just can't bring myself to make a cottage cheese sandwich.

@teachercd if it's reeally important to you, call and ask your ISP for a new IP address. Give them your account information and current IP address.  Tell them it's for personal/security reasons.  And that you will send them flowers.  But your ISP can do it; just that they may or may not. 

Or tell your friend to get a VPN.

It's a strategy that I have used ,and won with, in the last couple of years. It's not perfect, but's been over 500. That's only if the line moves though, and it doesn't always.

I agree with Huck in that I am a big believer in paying myself first in terms of retirement savings and other investments, rather than giving it to the mortgage company. I would rather have those funds fairly liquid instead of giving the mortgage company that liquidity. But, I understand people who would rather pay off their mortgage early.

Ali was elusive as anyone you'd ever see in the ring. The reach of that jab is incredible but also plenty of sting behind that jab. I think Ali would work Tyson over. Might take awhile, may even go to a decision but I don't think Tyson ever lands a clean one on Ali's jaw (maybe one, but that ain't enough to take down Ali). Ali would frustrate Tyson with pure boxing. Tyson isn't too far behind though. What a fight that would be to see.

A guy broke into my car while at was at Walgreen and stole 2 of my 3 large pizzas I just purchased.  WTH!!  Did he not like pepperoni?  

I have had my car broken into 3 times,  my buddy's car broken into once, and my apartment broken into once. Had work clothes/bag stolen twice and CD's twice. Had a longboard stolen once. My buddy's car was broken into while parked in a valet parking garage in La Jolla. Was visiting him before a 5 day training for work, they stole my bag which had a Husker polo  new reefs, and all my toiletries. Never realized how quickly shaving cream, razor, contact solution, etc. added up. Also came home from thanksgiving break in college to my apartment door broken in. Fortunately for me, we think they targeted my friend because I had nothing stolen. They stole his tv, 30 movies, xbox360 and controllers, and mini safe (which held the cash I would've won from fantasy football that year.)

Yeah, it seemed interesting at first and then I realized I really don't mind paying to view stuff legally. I just wish there was a more all encompassing way to view everything more seamlessly and with fewer providers and options. Right now I have Comcast cable, Netflix, Amazon prime and Hulu and before football season starts I need to dump Comcast and get a streaming service so I can get BTN. Luckily I have kids and the folks here on HB that understand all this stuff better than I do.

I'm almost in the exact same boat, but with a few perks. I have Comcast internet with basic cable and HBOGO for free. I have Hulu TV (Which has BTN), Amazon Prime and Netflix. All together it runs me about $115 a month. Still way cheaper than getting cable with all those channels. I had planned on dumping Hulu after football season, but it  has a lot of good TV shows and movies to watch. I don't mind paying for things now. I mean, I have a job and everyone deserves to get paid for their work, so I'm fine with it. I just don't want to get screwed over by the big media corporations.

I get it. Comcast is the only one that I feel I'm getting prison sexed by....well, them and Verizon. Bad thing is I'll still have to maintain Comcast internet but they cram the rest up their can. Probably would've continued to overpay them forever but they went and screwed the pooch when they quit carrying BTN.

@teachercd you’re gonna miss out on Roswell, Carlsbad Caverns and the SanteFe/Taos area. But yeah, the rest of the state is pretty much rundown trailer houses in the middle of nowhere.

Went to Albuquerque this year for a biology conference. Lot of homeless near the hotel and I had heard it’s a fairly violent city. A few nice breweries though!
