This is a summary from someone who attended a event in Columbus last night SF was speaking at: "Funny story, Coach Frost called Coach Tom into a practice a week and a half ago. He told Coach Tom, "I need you to come to practice and help me get this Nebraska kid for next season, we have to have him come here. He is my number one guy for next season". Awesome to hear that his number one kid is a Neb boy. The best part of this story is, Coach Tom said to Coach Frost, " I don't know why you want me to come and help, you were my number one kid and I couldn't get you over Stanford." I would assume it's Henrich.

It would be handy if Omaha would start pulling it's weight in producing Power 5 prospects as well.

Yeah, I don't know why Frost could not lock down Omaha recruiting over the last 4 Nebraska classes. I would rate him rather poor in that area.

You guys are acting like a psychotic girlfriend...trying to make something out of nothing.

It's undeniable that there's a double standard when it comes to women, power, and ambition. The sexism Hlllary Clinton faced was both blatant and ingrained. She may well have been the best-qualified candidate in our lifetime — certainly moreso than Trump, Obama, or her husband. And I don't really want to have a beer with my President. Frankly I'd feel more comfortable with a huge nerd and policy wonk as President, and have my beer with Bill Murray instead. But there was something about Hillary -- maybe something unfair -- that went beyond the personable. The Clinton's have always been political animals -- every move a political calculation, every "human" moment seemingly rehearsed. From her carpet-bagging move to New York in 2000 you knew she was running for President, and she surrounded herself with a machine that believed she was entitled to it. She sold herself as midwestern and middle-class, but she ran in elite circles and was always the candidate of the status quo. In the end, what did Clinton in wasn't that she was the first woman nominee, it was that she was the next John Kerry. The Democrats have to do better, and they shouldn't be gun shy about a female candidate as long as she's not an entitled standard-bearer of tired Democratic cliches.

Really, it's an utter failure on his part. Grounds for dismissal, IMO.

Look at the kids we've offered in the last four recruiting classes (2016-2019): Committed soon after being offered: Nelson - Non Omaha Snodgrass - Non Omaha Piper - Non Omaha Jurgen - Non Omaha Mapieu - Non Omaha Allen - Non Omaha Walker - Non Omaha Bradley - Omaha Stille - Non Omaha Englehaupt - Non Omaha Drag out/Comitted elsewhere: Hickman - Omaha Henrich - Omaha Williams - Non Omaha Fant - Omaha Bubak - Non Omaha (actually committed N right away but flipped after coaching change) Relatively speaking we've handled our business in the rest of the state the last 4 classes and kind of struggled in Omaha. It will take time to turn that around. Side note: I think landing Hickman and Henrich would speed up the process greatly.

You did watch TA throw short pass didn't you? The QB's this season will throw atleast a 1/3 of their passes of the variety that TA had no chance throwing.

While it would sting if Henrich commits elsewhere we can't overlook the fact that he's an Iowa legacy, Iowa has mollywhopped Nebraska for the past few years and they've also had a history of churning out some outstanding LBs.

The best thing about the Scott Frost hire is that he's a former Husker, a former QB, a veteran of both Tom Osborne's power option, and Oregon's "speed kills" multiple offense, who had a chance to prove himself at UCF, where he took all that experience and turned it into an undefeated team. The dude knows the expectation level at Nebraska better than anyone. So the starter should probably be whoever he picks.

Yet he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI?

I don't see the problem if he wins the job. Other college programs have recently found success starting and playing true freshman. Georgia went to a national title with one last year. Granted, that's an anomaly, but it's not unheard of to see a true freshman QB experience success. Really, all we can do is trust Frost's/Verduzco's judgement. If they believe AM is mentally and physically capable then there is no honest reason to hold him back. I don't think this staff is going to use the schedule as an excuse.

Absolutely. After @Warrior10 posted the Power 5 recruits in Nebraska over the last 4 cycles, it is clear Omaha is underproducing what the rest of Nebraska has done relative to population size. Though listening to people like Damon Benning and Matt Vrzal, radio personalities who coach in the metro, it sounds like Omaha will be talent rich over the next couple of recruiting cycles. The fact that Frost's staff is getting a lot of face time OPS HS now may pay out with future talent.

Hillary Clinton was a two-term Senator and a high-profile Secretary of State for four years. Those alone are better qualifications than most candidates. And it would be churlish to suggest that 8 years as the First Lady wouldn't give you keen insight into every machination of the Presidency -- hugely valuable on-the-job training no other candidate could claim. And she was already a political animal at that point, not a cookie-baker. I wouldn't under-value the 20 years of media attacks she navigated, either. And frankly, her years as a young corporate lawyer representing the likes of Walmart and Tyson Foods is serious real-world training, too. She literally knows how the sausage is made. I did think G HW Bush had perhaps the most complete skillset: private businessman, U.S. Congressman, Ambassador to China, CIA Chief, and two terms as Vice-President. But it still couldn't buy him a second term.

I think it should be whoever Huskerboard votes for each week because we all know everything, just ask us.

People have to realize as well that not all kids are fans of in-state teams believe it or not. As mentioned, his dad played at Iowa as well. As long as the coaches are offering kids who deserve a spot and continually recruit them that is all we can ask for. Hell, Scott Frost of all people even chose Stanford.

Chimi - the average small business person will take issue with everything you just said. You aren't in the real world. Your world is that of victim politics. It is the small business owner that hires the most people. And they come from every ethnic background you can find. From the hamburger shop to the hair dresser to the car repair shop, to a manufacturing company. These people are NOT the 1%ers. Victim politics solves nothing. Try becoming an overcomer instead of identifying as a victim. You might end up becoming one of those dreaded 1%ers.

We need Cornerbacks in the worst way. We currently only have 3 scholarship CB's (4 counting incoming freshman Clark) - the rest of the DBs were safeties.

It would suck (a lot), but isn't a red flag. But that's just my opinion. Omaha is weird right now with recruiting wise, the N doesn't carry near the weight it use to. I'm sure a main focus for the staff will be to plant a flag in Omaha, the rest of the state is already at that point (thankfully). Year 3, as relationships are built and traction is gained....yes red flag.

Jesus......I got goosebumps reading that article, not afraid to admit reading it gave me a small bit of mistiness to my eyes as well. Everything feels right with this situation, that doesn't mean we'll win a N.C. in two years or five years, but it means this terrible 20 year decline might be coming to an end. Scott gets it, he's lived it, knows the pressure cooker and culture that is Lincoln and has this coolness and calmness about him we haven't seen in a looooong time. I can't wait to see where this all goes, we've done our time in hell, time to climb out of that hole.

I'm not going to go there because many of us would defend our parents too. However, it is stupid for them to do it in a public forum like Twitter. The families of people like this are put in a very difficult situation.

As most American Patriots do. I continue to be amazed at how the children of these maniacs are stupid enough to post on twitter. Just goes to show how desparate they are for their daddy's attention and approval.

Now THIS is a great idea! Find a young, up and coming composer and have them create a piece just for us. Use parts of Sirius as a nod to tradition then ease into the new piece. That would be very cool.

Why? Why is change always good? Using Sirius is now part of our identity. When you hear that song, like it or not, what is the first thing you think of? Exactly. Confess! We all think of the Huskers coming out of the Tunnel. And there is nothing wrong with that! I'm just opposed to change for change sake. Look at the vote on this poll. People simply like that song and relate it to the Tunnel Walk. There's no shame in that and frankly no reason to change. (Don't throw stuff at me too hard!)

I still love Sirius . I still get goosebumps when I hear it at the stadium. I sort of like the balance they have shown in recent years where they'll do a two part tunnel walk - an intro video with different music/highlights and then the slow bass fade into Sirius. That said, I wouldn't really care that much if they experimented something a little new and different.

Based on all suggestions I've read/heard, Sirius still works for me.

Made a few changes, but this is my final guess.

This is a proposal for the federal government to offer a job to anyone who wants one. This is similar (at least in broad terms since we don't have any details yet) to the jobs program of the New Deal.
