In home tonight. According to Alabama insider they have already/will most likely flip Jordan Battle from Ohio State so they will be full at S. Rumor that his family is throwing him a big party tonight and the entire staff will be there. Mom is all in on Nebraska.14 points

Really disappointing. Just goes to show the character of some kids these days not being interested in anything other than themselves and their own success. Whatever happened to sacrifice, hard work, and commitment to something bigger than you? /sarcasm7 points

We are still involved here. Not signing with Auburn in December and will most likely visit in January.7 points

Well, color me an optimist, but looking past the W/L record I see it being pretty likely this team wins the West and goes to Indy with a possible double digit in the win column. 4-8 under Frost is a hell of a lot better than 4-8 under Riley, if you can't see that I feel sorry for you.4 points

Yes, the team has to start getting wins and accomplishments on the field. But, the way the season started last season was more fluke (Akron rainout, Martinez injury) and players trying to get past how they were coached under the god-awful Riley and his staff to believe they could win and play well. The team still has a ways to go in terms of talent, size, strength, and depth, but it’s exciting to see the type of leaders the team has. That’s where the optimism comes from.4 points

Now, this is a story all about how My life got flipped-turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute Just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air In west Philadelphia born and raised On the playground was where I spent most of my days Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school When a couple of guys who were up to no good Started making trouble in my neighborhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air' I begged and pleaded with her day after day But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket. I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'. First class, yo this is bad Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass. Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like? Hmm this might be alright. But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat? I don't think so I'll see when I get there I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air Well, the plane landed and when I came out There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out I ain't trying to get arrested yet I just got here I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Bel Air' I pulled up to the house about seven or eigth And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later' I looked at my kingdom I was finally there To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air3 points

Maybe it's just me but I'm entirely and completely not worried. We're in much different hands than the last 20 years.3 points

...and Lawrence Phillips Quick history lesson the Heisman Trophy in 1995 was Lawrence Phillips' trophy to lose. The way he finished 1994 with all of the QB injuries and how he started 1995 he would have had to have done something stupid and crazy to not win it...and there is the real reason people didn't vote for Frazier. We were getting killed in the media for being a "win at all costs" football factory as all of these stories were coming to light in national media publications after Phillips was suspended. Voters won't going to vote a player from that team or that program the Heisman trophy winner.3 points

Wandale will get all the attention for skill position guys this signing day, but I think this kid is an absolute stud who will have a very productive career. IMO it says a lot about this class when this kid is quietly a member of it.3 points

Tired of these project kids our staff keeps offerring that a playoff contender is trying to steal. Doesnt this staff know to just sign all the, 6'7 315 pound,5-star offensive tackles?3 points

According to clouse his name is in the transfer database and he has spoken with Frost and advised him he will begin looking around.2 points

Let me tell ya the story of a man named Jed, poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed. Then one day he was shootin’ at some food and up through he ground come a bubbling crude. Oil that it is...black gold....Texas tea. Well the first thing you know old Jed's a millionaire. Kin folk said Jed move away from there. Said California is the place you oughta be. So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly. Hills that is...swimming pools...movie stars.2 points

All I'm asking for is two Wistrom like players on the edge and a J Peter type player. I'm not asking for much. Can you imagine how much better our DBs would look if the opposing QB was constantly under pressure?2 points

Yep. So what was CBP doing during the 8 hours they were detaining her and her father? Were they checking on the condition of the detainees and seeing to their needs? Because once you've detained someone, you're responsible for their well-being. CBP might have done all the right things, but I want to see an investigation to determine what went wrong and what could be done to prevent this.2 points

Personally I don't think of myself as very cynical. I'm actually quite excited about the future and am beyond happy that we finally brought Scott home (about 7 years late imo). But I don't dwell on hypotheticals. I don't really even have an opinion on whether or not we'll be good/better next year - I didn't much this year either, though I obviously thought we'd do better than we did. All I'm saying is that across different coaching staffs and administrations our program has been defined by a very consistent and transcendent snakebit-ness that so far has reared it's head in Frost's first season as well. It might continue forever, or maybe we've seen the last of it. But it's not silly for people to look at the last almost two decades and then go, "Yeah I'll wait until I see it"2 points

You're not alone. I feel pretty much the same way. There's reasons for optimism and hope, but it's been that way for decades now.2 points

Hmmm HOL posted an update saying Jackson canceling his mid week visit is an indication we will sign Banks. I always thought he was a back up plan to Robinson.2 points

“I don’t want to jeopardize any of their investigations,” he said. But when asked if he thinks the president is telling the truth about the Russia probe, Cohen replied simply, “No.”2 points

You're probably right. I stopped posting mid season after I realized reading some of my posts I sounded like a sour old apple. I want to be excited and optimistic, but I am at the point where it's going to take actual wins and accomplishments on the field to get me there again. The fluff and off season hype that had me optimistic going into this season led to an even bigger let down after the way we started.2 points
-
In order to NOT feel optimistic, you've obviously forgotten much more than that.2 points

A 4 win season made up of a loss sandwich in which CU and Iowa were the bread and Wisconsin the filler in the middle doesn't fill me with optimism. I'm stunned anyone would be stunned by that. In order to feel super optimistic I'd have to forget an awful lot, I'm not there yet, but certainly don't begrudge anyone who is.2 points
