  3. I would have thought the people of California, who constantly complain about an incarceration crisis, would not look to destroy a long man's life over a text. What he did was gross, but this is such an overreach.

  4. I had not seen that before. Pretty straight forward. the WE ARE THE GREATEST presents a false patriotism that doesn't recognizes our shortcomings which in turns prevents us from overcoming those shortcomings. As noted the first step to solve a problem is to acknowledge it exists. Jeff Daniels is pretty amazing actor. From the guy who could play a lead role in Dumb and Dumber one year to a lead role in the mega movie Gettysburg the next (or maybe it was the other way around) tells me all I need to know about his talent.

  8. Yep. There is a group of people, lets call them snowflakes, who freaks out any time you question anything about this country. It’s kinda weird how many of those same people think America wasn’t great before Trump came along...

  10. Have you guys ever thought about how our defense doesn't really go up against an offense during practice time that resembles Wisconsin's & Iowa's? No disrespect to our offensive line/tight ends, but I'd say that measuring the strength of our defensive front seven probably can't be accurately done quite yet against our own offense in practice. I think we'll know against Colorado how much progress has really been made there.

  11. A literal and factually based assessment is not an overreach. If he did what is alleged to have done, then that is truly a felony per the law itself. Then you take into account context, and he will likely plead to probation/diversion/misdemeanor/something minor and not serious. There's no overreach anywhere. Also, what exactly is an incarnation crisis? Too many deities embodying humans in California?

  16. Removing him from office or worse impeaching without removal and then no longer having that looming threat to at least partially keep him in check would be a big defeat for her. Pence would walk strait in to the oval after that and pardon Trump, if they even could convict. I'd personally prefer if he lost the election, SDNY and whoever else charged him the next day and he and his idiotic offspring were actually held accountable for their tax dodging and other crimes. Her mistake was answering that question in the first place, in any way that wasn't "We'll have to wait and see what the numerous investigations uncover and will consider all evidence as they wrap up." If they cant convict in the senate it's a moot point. Also we'll have much more detail about just how much of an idiot and crook he is by the time the next election rolls around, it would probably be a gift to the republican party if they were able to say "Yeah, that was an anomaly lets move on" rather then having to explain it all publicly for months.

  17. Long time lurker, noticed over the last week or so you have about 1 positive and 20-30 negatives to say. He does a great job shedding the block and forcing the ball carrier out of bounds. Also, there was no cut back, because if he would've cut, he would've been out of bounds. Thirdly, if you ever have done any real coaching or taken any coaching classes, you always reinforce negatives with a positive. You have no idea what happened after the play, and what was said by the coaches. Overall, it was a great play.

  27. Ken Boa, of Reflection Ministries, gives a 3rd option - a faith based economics model. It comes from his series on Biblical economics and finance on his website. Of course this model won't work for the country as a whole but for those of us in the church, it demonstrates how we can be investors (seek gain) while at the same time consider the needs of the disadvantage and also reduce dependency on govt. He also states why the Acts 2 model of Christians 'having all things in common' was not a model for socialism. His article: https://kenboa.org/living-out-your-faith/biblical-economics-finance-part-3/?inf_contact_key=d3254b29f7af161d8e87ac4e880a23f1 The problem wt a demand driven (consumption driven) economic model https://kenboa.org/living-out-your-faith/biblical-economics-finance-part-4/ NOTE RELATED TO THE ABOVE or TOPIC but a personal recommendation: I've had great respect for Ken over the years. If I could only keep one book besides my Bible, it would be his book "Conformed to His Image" which is a great handbook on the Christian life, discipleship and spiritual development. I highly recommend it. The book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Conformed-His-Image-Practical-Approaches/dp/031023848X One person's review sums up the book nicely: And a more detailed review:

  29. Yeah, you're probably right I wouldn't classify myself as a good swimmer. All I know is it was like prison rules basketball while constantly treading water. The only reason I did it was for our frat team. And I have no idea how anyone gets to be "legendary" in water polo. Guy could be the Wayne Gretzky/Michael Jordan/Walter Payton of water polo and still nobody would know who the hell he was.
