What the university released to the public on weights and conditioning, the team improved across the board at speed, strength, weight, vert, quickness, and stamina. You could see it on the field. We didn't have the technology to go to the moon in 1962, either. We dedicated resources, we did it purposefully, and we overcame a mountain of technological problems. By comparison, learning how to scale up energy storage is child's play. The problem we have is fossil fuel industries lobby congress so the national resources are dedicated to making this viable aren't being dedicated. Maybe if we stopped listening to special interests and providing corporate welfare we'd have this perfected by now. As it is, the Dutch, the Scottish and the Canadians are ahead of us on this.

They're crooks and not particularly competent ones. Watching Rudy devolve from America's mayor to whatever this is is just sad at this point. Nunes and Solomon were only swept up in this because they contacted said crooks. Congress can legally obtain phone call records (not the content of the calls themselves) simply by issuing a subpoena. The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled we don't have reasonable expectation of privacy over our call logs. Pulled from the Federalist: You're free to not like it. But it's the legal rules of the road on this matter. None of these people would have had to worry about their call logs if they had not been crooks, or associating with crooks.

I think we had a couple perfectly healthy and competent tight ends who rarely got into the mix of an offense made for tight ends, and the running back we now wish had run more often was healthy and available all season. Mills emerged a a legit featured running back when we couldn't rely on Wan'dale to do everything. And we lost to teams that were missing even more crucial players. So it's hard to say if we were simply an injury or two away from winning.
