  2. When he finally stops half way up the slope behind the end zone, a roughly 10-year-old Mavric is about 30 feet right of the view of the camera. Wrapped up in blankets because it was a cold day in Boulder - but the win helped.

  3. Also like Steinkuhler and Jurgens. Both shut their recruiting down and didn't field many offers, in spite of their ability.

  4. I cannot wait for HuskerBoard to unite in ripping on President Biden. I think those of us who would vote for him are almost unanimous in our meh-ness about him as president, and of course those who don't vote for him aren't going to like him much, anyway. It'll be a peaceful time in P&R.

  5. Biden would probably win 57 states and D.C. if this happened. One can hope.

  7. Miller had offers from the whole B1G, including tOSU and us. He had offers from OU, Oregon, USC and some SEC schools as well. He was the Oline MVP at The Opening in San Francisco in '19. The kid is a very good get for us.

  11. Supposedly good to go academically. Can commit at any time now. Expected to be here in mid to possibly late July if he commits to N. Hearing we are the leader but nothing is a for sure deal until the player makes the decision. A nice pick up by the staff if he is N. This would give us two cycles in a row we get a solid JuCo addition in the summer and he is a great replacement for Gray if he takes our open 2020 spot.

  12. I believe this bombshell also belongs in the "Trump is an impotent, awful Commander-in-Chief" file. The checkers bit slayed me. I'm not very confident in the second bolded assertion, though. This is straight-up pathetic: A lot of this is emblematic of how he approaches literally everything, and it's incredibly sad there are people who don't understand that and still go out and defend him as if he cared about them or their wellbeing. Everything revolves around DONALD; he doesn't care about you.

  16. As long as I have some fellow Huskers here: there was a rooftop pool at the Clayton House on O Street that you could access by the stairwell anytime day or night. No security cameras. No security. So we did that. Underneath the Clayton House was a parking garage with a very low clearance. So low, my buddy figured out, that a tow truck could never get past it. And since Clayton House parking lot security was the same as Clayton House swimming pool security, we enjoyed free parking at a prime 10th & O location for years. Anyone else exploit the Clayton House this way?

  17. Betts only had reported offers of Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota and SDSU on 247. However, I remember people saying he had a lot more, but he was going to Nebraska and never announced them. Similar for Prochazka, he hasn't announced any offers since he committed, but I'd venture to guess he has received more.

  18. Its the masks. Simple as that. Hong Kong one of the densest and most public transit heavy cities on the planet has had less than 10 deaths b/c everyone is wearing masks. The funny thing of it is that the govt had outlawed mask wearing recently for political/surveillance reasons. So they are wearing them in defiance of their government, people here are being defiant by not wearing them.

  21. Should be immediate impeachment trial. Any GOP senator supporting this traitor needs to be voted out of office. If the GOP doesn't rise up now, their party needs to be on the ash heap of history.

  22. What I find the most strange about the mask thing is it's not typically douchebags who don't want to wear the mask. It's people who, for the most part, think they're really good people. Their friends would probably describe them as good, generous, "shirt off their back" kind of people. I think the mask issue is one of the best examples of how good people can be messed up by bad messaging.

  23. Uh, you don’t call the police over this regardless. Make your pool security better if it’s that important. The woman says there were 2 people sitting in chairs which means the only people using the pool were the 2 kids. So is it worth calling the police even if they aren’t guests? This is the type of thing police funding should not be used for.

  25. I suspect the number of cases is about 10x higher than actually reported. 5% of NBA playing showed up with it. 20% of the seamen on the aircraft carrier got it, but that was a pretty closed environment. That would be 25 million Americans. The CDC came out and said the same thing about a week ago although they are not always right either. I am not so concerned about increased cases, but I do watch hospitalizations which was the reason we such down in the first place. Talking to my bro in SA Texas, the COVID ICU is getting pretty full. It makes sense to pullback opening in those areas again and give people a another lesson in not being stupid about this. That said, my county in Colorado just threw the doors open wider yesterday, and I am OK with that. My family wears masks when appropriate, when asked, and to be courteous. Wash and or sanitize hands when coming and going. I still work from home for the most part. It makes sense to me to move forward unless it picks up again and then target the areas where it does, based on hospital needs. This is with us for the long haul. Need to learn to live with it. Hopefully we are better at it when the next one hits.

  28. Sounds like you're saying since it hasn't had a negative impact on your life then in turn it isn't a big deal. Yes the deadliest pandemic in the US since 1918 may inconvenience your life. I don't think you're wrong by saying there is hope, and college football could be played. I personally think we're going to turn a corner on this thing soon. But just remember next time you try and down play it, and use your life as an example - just know this has killed 125,000+ Americans and the person you are talking to may have not had the rainbow and unicorn fart experience of the pandemic you have had.

  31. One thing I have to wonder with some of these incidents is why the employee keeps going with it. It's obvious the White boy has on a tshirt and athletic shorts and tennis shoes. Just give in at that point and tell the customer she's right and let them eat there. Update: the owner of Atlas Restaurant group (which owns the place in the video) is a co owner of Sinclair Broadcast Group... https://www.baltimoremagazine.com/section/fooddrink/hunger-games-alex-smith-conquer-baltimore-restaurant-scene

  32. 1. His upside is leagues above Mbow 2. He is a walk-on so there is 0 risk. 3. He is coming from our “rival” and was a kid who was basically all Iowa. 4. It has been confirmed it was a mental break he needed. Lot of stuff happened to this kid in a short amount of time. 5. #1 kid in Iowa who was a Hawkeye fan and shut it down early = no posting of other offers

  33. You know, I once read a story about a kid in a gang who got shot, and was absolutely shocked to find how much it hurt. He thought that when you got shot, you died, and that was pretty much it. Some of these people who treat COVID-19 as a thing where 'either you live or you die and that's pretty much it' remind me of that kid...

  34. People keep trying to frame this as an individual liberties issue, but by definition a pandemic is not an 'individual' issue, it's a society-level and global-level issue!

  35. I wasn't sure where to put this but I found this interesting and a bit shocking. Looking at a chart on where the best recruits are. 4* and 5* recruits in the past 5 years: -47 combined in Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Wyoming, and Colorado -173 in Georgia -73 in Loisiana -70 in Ohio -39 in Michigan -21 in Oklahoma -59 in Alabama Even if we got EVERY single top recruit, in the EIGHT states closest to us, for FIVE YEARS in a row, we would still have less talent (per recruiting rankings) than if Alabama, Ohio State, or LSU just got every top player in their state. We would still have less talent than if Georgia just got 1/3 of their instate recruits and no out of state recruits. Even Michigan can get almost as much talent just in their home state as we can in our 8 closest. USC could never leave L.A. and get as much talent as we can in our entire region. In that region their are 7 schools competing for those recruits (Us, Iowa, Iowa State, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri). In Alabama its just 2 (Bama , Auburn). In Ohio just 1 (OSU) In Louisiana just 1 (LSU) in Georgia just 2 (Georgia , GTech) In Michigan just 2 (Michigan, Mich State) We are probably in the hardest region to recruit in the entire country. Less talent per P5 team than anywhere else. Also Wisconsin and Minnesota are hard places to recruit.
