+1 to OH HSKR. He's been doing it too long. His personal life is a mess, and he worked around it just fine in the past. But it caught up to him big time this year- he kept trying to force a square peg in a round hole and the team totally quit responding to him. Somewhere along the way he lost his edge, and I don't know that he'll get it back.

I guess this was a trailer park on the edge of Shawnee.

Man...it should be illegal to have trailer parks in tornado alley...I understand some people can't afford a lot...but these tin boxes are just a death wish waiting to happen in a tornado.

@Foppa. These were rather large tornado's that moved thru. The one near Shawnee was estimated at least 1/2 mile wide. Most homes don't stand much of a chance against those.

I watched this segment last night.  It was good, but it was kinda creepy that the bowling coach ended up marrying a former player of his from the early 90s.

It was an enjoyable segment.  I have met the two of them many times in the past.  I think he was coaching (volunteering), his wife to be, since she was 15 years old.  About 21 years age difference..oh my, if we all could be that lucky.

Really?  Most parents I know can't wait for them to get out.

There are three "older" women on the team, heh. And they are good, they finished 4th in the 2013 World Championships. There were high expectations for the women at Sochi (not quite so much for the men), and their performance is more than perplexing.

In the end, it really goes back to the "system" we have established for development. Which means that US curlers are amateurs and there isn't a real focus on systematically building a men's and women's tea...
