Damn I don't like Seattle but its hard not to respect them. Man they play hard. Kinda the same way I feel about New England.

All I can say about Green Bay is at least their players fought for it. They wanted it. Hell, Denver made it clear they didn't give two sh#ts. That's more embarrassing than the loss itself.

      CheeseHusker

We'll all just be miserable together. In the end none of us got what we wanted. I actually wanted a GB-Den super bowl, for real. I was mad at Denver because I thought they were arrogant, and I thought the fan base was being a little arrogant too. That's really all it was about. If you felt personally slighted by that comment, then I take it back. I wasn't trying to troll anyone specifically, so I hope you can understand that I'm a little taken back when someone seeks me out af...

Ten wins and no trophy is impressive to exactly nobody outside the state of Nebraska. We shouldn't even have been in a bowl this good.

So, Cheese? Are you saying that Bo progressed too fast then? If he goes 7 and 7 his first season and then wins 8 and 9 his next two, would ten wins be okay now?

    4. CheeseHusker

      CheeseHusker

Perhaps I should add a caveat then... I don't think four BAD losses is acceptable. 3-4 years ago, they were losing games by scores like 16-15 and 13-12. Now they are losing games 70-31 and 63-38. People want to say 10-4 is 10-4, but I don't think it tells the whole story.

Agree with all posts...I thought she slid under the tag, forced off base..but with 6 errors, tough to say we deserved to win..the non-call on strike 3 was horrible..great effort, and it was like they played 3 games..ha

    4. The Screaming Pelini

      The Screaming Pelini

Hard for me to say the 2nd game was anything but our fault, we could have and should have won. However that first game was just pathetic. The ump refused to call a strike and Edwards was hitting the zone. She had to throw it right down the middle to get a call. it was hard to watch.

No offense Xmas. That is a terrible trend that is happening when it comes to people and how they get information. They read headlines and assume they know what's going on without reading the article. Kids are awful with it in school. They read a headline and freak out over something they know nothing about. It's sad.

I put the NCAA tournament 2nd behind college football bowl season for non-Husker sporting events that I like to watch.  The Super Bowl is far behind both for me.  That said, I actually really like baseball season and having 5 or 6 games per week.  I don't get to watch that many, but I like following my teams.

I actually enjoy listening to baseball on the radio while I'm working.  My wife likes when I listen to baseball on the radio while we're driving because that's the only time she can fall asleep in a car. :D

I’m a seasonal sports freak. College football is my favorite then March Madness then college and Royals baseball. I could care less about the super bowl (Unless The Chiefs, Rockies or Packers are in it). Love, Love, Love The Tour de France then I’m back to college football again. I agree that this year’s NCAA basketball tournament has been really exciting!  My final team is still in it so we’ll see what happens!

@Decoy73:  Trevor Robinson from 10 or 12 years ago.  Went to Notre Dame and played three or four years in the NFL.  (Edit:  But I guess you said skill position.  Trevor Robinson was a OG in college and center in the NFL.)

    3. ColoradoHusk

      ColoradoHusk

Not a skill player, but Harrison Phillips was great at Stanford and is now at the Buffalo Bills.  Among skill players, Xavier Watts from Burke was another skill player which NU has lost out on, but it's too early to tell how good he will be at Notre Dame.

Jaylin Bradley was an Omaha-area recruit who I thought would be good at Nebraska, but his career never panned out.

TAKODA. The pissing it out is the least painful part. It's actually a relief, because the pain comes from the stone scraping through your ureters. When you pee it out, a lot of times you're pissed off that something that small was causing that much pain. If it's taking a month though, it's probably a bit bigger.

Rodger didn't fumble, but his second INT was one of the worst of his career, and he threw way too many passes into traffic. He deserves some significant blame.

@Enhance I thought about that for a bit yesterday, too.  It looked like the guy sat down next to a man that looked like he could be his dad.  Maybe this was a way to have a souvenir to remember a special day.

But then I thought if it were my dad and me.  I would give the kid the ball and have a cool conversation with my dad about the special things in life.   My point: if we're going to go "there", the man is is still an Iowa fan, and still a douche.  :)

    3. Enhance

      Enhance

@JJ Husker I'm not debating the 'right' thing to do, as I already acknowledged it. I'm mostly questioning the reaction. I don't see the reason or logic behind completely losing one's mind and publicly shaming this guy, or calling him some pretty bad names, and there's been a lot of that. You would've thought he punched the kid in the face and said something bad about his mother based on how some people are treating it.

I also don't really see where he 'stole' it or took it from the kid. They both went for it at the same time. The older guy got it. Again, yeah, it's sort of lame to compete against a kid for that, but some people are going totally overboard about it IMO.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

I guess I don't see the problem with the guy taking some abuse for it. He did the wrong thing and now he's paying for it. Granted I haven't specifically seen the things being said about him. Maybe there is some overreaction but that's why you shouldn't be a douche, in public anyway.

      Besides that....Iowa

      Count 'Bility

It's gotta be Schwartz. I mean, though he is an intense, physical player, he was never "dirty" as he's been in the NFL. Also, keep in perspective that his overwhelming strenght makes some of the things he's gotten gruff for look much worse than they were. But there's no excuse for other things he's done either.
