He definitely still has a lot to learn. He seems to only learn by making mistakes on the field, during games, which is more infuriating as a fan, but he has shown he can learn from those mistakes and improve. He'll almost surely have a weakness exposed again in a future game - hopefully fans aren't so quick to lose patience then. He's got two more years... could be pretty special.

Herc, I too referenced that it was probably the best throw Taylor has made all year. zoogs pretty much backed my point. It is something that coaches will point out in film study. That goes on if it was a great play or dumb decision. This was more of the play selection with the RBs as a primary option that would cause a team like WIscy fits.

Eh, I'm am nothing even close to a Duke fan and would have loved to laugh at them losing.  But I don't see a foul on Zion there.  There is some contact but no outstretched arm.  The UCF guy tried to sell it but I've got nothing there.

I was a Duke fan for many years. They lost me when they played Wisconsin for the Natty 4 or 5 years ago. Coach K whined and cried his way the whole game.  I now enjoy seeing Duke go down and would have loved to see them crash and burn yesterday.  Sadly I think the UCF kid was already falling back when Zion got there.

Objectively, from outside the sport, the guy has a point. However, that's how the sport works and you just have to live with it. CC ran the best race he could, he just didn't have enough in the tank. Good ride, good chase, and well positioned at the back straight. But nothing left. A true Triple Crown champion would have had enough in the tank to run down the other horses.

Apparently CC was stepped on as he came out of the starting gate at the race's start. Hard to say if that affected him, but it certainly wouldn't have helped any.

Howard Lederman had the same scores as I did.  Lots of boxers, including Crawford, and talking heads also say GGG won 

GGG would do himself a big favor by never fighting in Vegas, again. I'd trust Lederman over just about anyone when it comes to scoring a fight.

So true MLB.  GGG has damn near bent over for Canelo/de la Hoya to make these fights(while getting screwed money wise vs Canelo’s payout).  The third fight if it ever happens SHOULD be at MSG.

@admo  I don’t know a lot of details around the recruitment of Flores. I heard on either 1620 or the OWH podcast this week that Flores camped at NU during the summer between his 9th and 10th grade. He didn’t impress Frost enough to get an offer then, and then Frost slowplayed Flores after that.  So then Frost watched multiple Power 5 schools offer Flores and then Flores led Gretna to the Class A State Championship as a junior (it was later vacated to using an ineligible transfer). Everyone who has seen Flores says he’s the best QB prospect to come through Nebraska in a long time, and Frost and Verduzco didn’t think he was good enough.

He's been pushing the envelope in multiple games this year and it finally bit him in the ass. this team has a lot of very emotional players and its resulted in lots of Ts this year and makes me nervous every time something controversial happens
