Kaepernick is now planning to file a grievance against the NFL team owners for collusion since none of them want to sign him. None of them want to sign me either, for the same reason.

Actually, I don't pay much attention to the NFL anymore. The whole thing is too business like with a bunch of overpaid prima donnas. I barely make the time to watch my two favorite teams, Broncos and Packers, play every once in awhile. I watched all of about 5 minutes of the Denver game last night. I used to love the NBA and the NFL. I absolutely can't stand the NBA and the NFL does nothing for me. It's no longer a game played for pride. There is no loyalty to anything except the mighty dollar. The NHL is the only professional league I like. So I really don't care about Kaepernick or the NFL. And yes, I do think all of them should be more modest with their views. They play a damn game and get paid obscenely well for it. They should be thankful they don't have to really work for a living.

And I'm not pretending the NFL doesn't put the clamps on controversy when it comes to marketing their product. What responsible business doesn't try to maintain a certain image? I just really don't feel this is anything approaching collusion or even the league putting clamps on controversy. My gut tells me he might be getting a little more opportunity without this issue but I also don't feel it is the thing keeping him off a roster. I sure don't think it's some wide ranging, league mandated blackballing. Maybe the lesson is, if you're a bubble player then you better fly a little straighter and not act like you're indispensable because you are. I would do the exact same thing with hiring decisions in my business. If I had 10 people apply for one job opening and they're all about equal skill and experience but say one has a history of work comp claims, why in the world would I choose the guy that presents a possible liability? That's not collusion, that's just the way life works. It shouldn't shock anybody.

Funny how when Aaron Green left he was an immature traitor for leaving because he wasn't getting PT, yet it's the staff's fault Braylon Heard is leaving for the same reason, even though he'd likely be 2nd string this season. I'm not showing Heard any more love than I showed Green just because he stayed for one more season, sorry.

No, it's not Taylor Martinez's fault we lost, and no, we wouldn't have won with Armstrong starting. Some people should engage their brain before they engage their mouth.

$EC fans on Facebook are all talking about how weak the B1G is, and a few even threw out the notion that the only reason Nebraska looked so good was that they played a weak opponent. Other than Georgia in one half of football, none of their teams looked that great, but if LSU beating a team they're ranked above already by 4 points makes them feel dominant, more power to 'em I guess.

Confession time: In my 29 years of living, I have been to exactly 0 Husker games. That number will increase by 1 on Saturday. I know, it's just McNeese State, but still... this is something I've been waiting all my life for.

The WBC has announced that they are coming to Omaha to protest Ofc. Kerrie Orozco's funeral. Do these people have any redeeming qualities whatsoever?

Woke up this morning to find several items, including my stereo receiver, stolen out of my car. Merry Christmas, douchebag...

Thankfully they didn't really do any permanent damage, they just ripped the center piece out and left it wedged against the shifter (pain in the butt to get it back in place, but it wasn't damaged). I noticed the other day that the top of the piece was popped out, so I wonder if they didn't try it another time and get spooked. Probably somebody in this apartment complex.

Look at my horse. My horse is amazing.

On any other message board, I assume 100% seriousness when I see ponies. Here on Huskerboard, where the men are men and I'm pretty sure the women are too, I assume trolling.

There are two types of NFL fans: Ones who understand the game of football, and Tebow fans. Sadly, Jacksonville has more of the latter than the former.

Just put in a down payment on the ring for my soon-to-be fiance... so I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.

Just got out of surgery to fix my ankle, it was dislocated and broken in three different places. It's been a rough last few days, but on the plus side, my anesthesiologist was Rob Zatechka.

Johnny Manziel will be the first freshman to win the Heisman. I guarantee it.

I found the "Fire Nebraska Head Coach Mike Riley" group on Facebook and looked at about 10-15 of their posts. I now feel dumber for having actually looked at that garbage.

I swear, some of our fans are more annoying than the Iowa fans that were talking crap about us after they beat us. Heaven forbid we be happy that Iowa lost last night without considering for half a second that we had a crappy season.

Whatever happens with our coaching situation, I'd love to see Chris Del Conte get the permanent AD job.

You gotta at least call Greg Byrne and make him say no. Nebraska can offer more money (shockingly, Alabama is 'only' paying him $900k) plus a chance to bring Nebraska back to glory. Plus, his dad was the AD here...just spitballing. I don't blame Del Conte for turning down the Texas job, talk about inmates running the asylum.

People keep trying to convince me that Nebraska has a basketball team, but I just don't buy it.

If you think Pelini should stay, fine. Difference of opinion, and I respect that. Is it really necessary to make your point by attacking the fans who disagree? That's arrogant, childish, and it does FAR more to hurt our fanbase than simply thinking we need a new coaching staff.

I don't normally wish injuries upon football players, but if Richard Sherman ever suffers a career-ending injury, it'll be like Christmas for me. I absolutely cannot stand that guy.

Since I predicted a Nebraska loss for the first time this year in the prediction contest thread, I'm going to go ahead and take credit for the win tonight. You're welcome, everybody.

Well, the boss is in Grand Island for state volleyball now... I'm putting the over/under on things that screw up here that won't get fixed until he gets back at 7. Place your bets, folks!

Go Stanford. There's nothing else to say.

Today was a great day for recruiting. Just not for us.

I don't have a favorite team in the playoffs, but if the Seahawks get taken out before the Super Bowl, I'll root for whichever team does it. Yes, even if it's the Cowboys.

For a minute there, I thought I should go on a diet, but then Pizza Hut's hot chocolate brownies happened and I decided dieting just wasn't worth it.
