  1. This story went by the wayside a bit, but it's back in the public eye again thanks to a very odd arrest in Ohio. Seems Ms. Daniels does stripping when she isn't cavorting with the likes of Donald Trump, and this allegedly happened: Because, apparently, it's unusual for a stripper to touch clients in Ohio. There's a law on the books prohibiting this, actually. It hasn't been enforced in ten years. Which leads to questions, like this one: As noted in the tweet above, charges against Ms. Daniels were thrown out today.

  4. For Trump: NATO Allies who have stood by us for decades (and many for centuries) = Bad North Korea, who has killed 100,000's of American servicemen and is actively flouting American peace efforts = Good Way to go, MAGA folks. This is your president.

  5. I'd rather have a guy who can find creases and can make himself small in a pile of defenders. Rex Burkhead was amazing in short-yardage situations by doing this.

  7. Players have a knack for parroting what the coaches say to them. I've heard enough talk about how things are improving for the past I don't know, too many years. I'll buy in to what the players say when I see something of substance on the field. I place more importance on what the coaches say. I feel once they get the right players they'll have success since they've already shown that ability.

  8. Was this sarcasm? I couldn't tell. You've got the saying wrong first of all, it's "no news is good news." We could be hearing about arrests, hospitalizations, fights, etc. No news seems more like they are focused and aren't exactly looking for attention right now. I like it. I'd much rather go into the season underrated than overrated. Also, I like to hear team news, but I completely understand the desire to push all the reporters out for awhile. The coaches have work to do and they don't need unnecessary distractions.

  10. Just having the DL do something besides take up space and having the CBs not playing ten+ yards off the ball should make the talent look a whole lot better. The DL in particular, I think we've got the horses if we actually USE them.

  11. Note that what they did is based off personnel and opposition. Blitzing inside guys, for instance, is hard to do against the schemes they commonly faced. You also aren't as likely to rush those guys if you have a dominant outside guy, like Griffin. Maybe for Nebraska the inside guys, like a Honas or Weinmaster, are better rush threats and weaker in coverage. Maybe this defensive line is a little quicker and allows for more inside games and stunts. This staff has talked quite a bit about their backers and safeties being able to drop or go as necessary. We also didn't see them play offenses like Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa/Michigan St/Michigan. The quality of offense is better in the AAC, but I think there is more diversity of style in the Big Ten right now.

  12. Frost or Chinander could fart in to a microphone and people would praise it. Things were so awful last year that we will take anything and start printing championship shirts. I am not saying we wont be loads better, because it seems like we should be, but lets just cool our jets. Plenty of people were excited about Diaco and look how that turned out. The major concern going in was the idea of transitioning to a new defense and that is going to happen yet again. I get the conditioning/tackling/scheme should all be better but lets not forget Diaco was a major success at Notre Dame. Sometimes you just dont have the players. I am as excited for Husker football as I have ever been but what happens if we go out and get smoked the first few weeks? Do people turn on Chinander the way they did with Diaco or because he is a frost guy do we give him a ton of leash? Ok.. I am done being a debbie downer.. Just think we need to level set expectations and not get overly excited by a few flashy words.

  13. While we may not have "proven" talent this year, by year's end I have a feeling we will see that some stars have emerged. This defense isn't nearly as devoid of talent as some would suggest.

  14. YIKES. I am in HR. I do all the hiring and so I can tell you that lady is messing up big. Technically you would have a potential case since you quit your other job in good faith and you met their background requirements. I suggest emailing the HR gal and keep everything in writing just in case. While you might have a leg to stand on, might not be worth your time however reputation is big for companies. If this falls through I would broadcast it on Google, Glassdoor and Indeed in the reviews of a company. It is not ok what she is doing in the slightest. Education verification is not usually a game changer for us unless we have concerns. It is technically a way to decline someone, but also not something that is a "no-go" like a Felony could be. That varies by company. I suggest going to the office and asking to speak with either HR gal or potentially her Manager for an updated. If you have have the managers email and know the HR gals name, you might be able to figure out her email address. Reputation for companies is huge. While it might not be worth going down the legal route, you did technically quit a job in good faith and you followed through on all your requirements. Feel free to message me if you have more specifics. This is what I do day in and day out. While companies vary, I am happy to share my thoughts. If this is how they treat there employees, you might want to getting a new job either way.

  16. This type of crap would get you fired from a Dunkin' Donuts. What an embarrassment. It never ceases to amaze me what people are willing to excuse from our president that they wouldn't accept from a teenager making minimum wage in a part-time position. Drunk Uncle rules! That bit is hilarious. I miss Moynihan on SNL.

  19. That a person can look at those votes and think the problem is truly "both sides" explains why we're where we are. "Both sides" are not equally at fault. If the litmus test is "I can find gray area in a few of these votes..." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  24. Has anyone heard if the Huskers will be getting the Primeknit A1 uniforms they used in the 2018 US Army All American game? I am tired of seeing the tire tread variations over the years and these seem to be somewhat of an upgrade in looks. Adidas has done a lot of things right, unfortunately their football uniforms hasn't been one of them. What do you guys think, like the new style?

  27. You also don't often see a pile of defenders with this offense. The goal line calls we saw in the spring game are pretty indicative of how this offense handles redzone situations. This is a shotgun oriented offense, and it's not like it's going to switch to multiple tights running iso just because it's at the goal line. It's going to be via the QB run with things like bootlegs or power, quick throws to the outside, sneaking tight ends out the backside, creating favorable numbers to run into in the box.... The field may shrink vertically at the goal line, but it's still 53 yards wide, and Frost uses that well.

  28. The defense has been pretty putrid the past 3 years (and was turning poor under Bo), so I am expecting some rough moments this season. Chinander isn't going to be able to make the D a good defense overnight. This is especially true given the returning players and lack of depth (especially the secondary). I don't know if Chinander's D will ever be "great" in terms of traditional defensive statistics. From what I understand Chin's D is designed to work in lock-step with Frost's offense. I liked what Chinander did at UCF. Sure there were games where their D was giving up lots of yards and points, but I think last year the team wore down in having to play so many weeks in a row, and going up against some top offenses in college football.

  29. After watching many games from UCF last year I noticed a few things.... ILB: there to be tackling machines, not worried much about blitzing OLB: he loved to have a main 'attacker' who was Griffin. The other had your typical OLB duties like a 4-3. Most times both were on the LOS DL: they are allowed to disrupt. have to be able to take on blocks. big bodied guys S: laid off for the most part, but aren't afraid to come up and tackle CB: they had some depth issues like we have. They shuffled until the right guys shined through. They press a good amount which is nice to see

  33. Not sure I follow the point. The data in the Reddit post shows that all of these votes were very polarized along party lines. So, each party (for the most part) votes along party lines. Now....it's a valid discussion about which side you agree with the policies the most and that discussion is healthy. I'm perfectly fine using the phrase "both sides" because I think typically I use it in terms of how they go about their politics (and not a blanket statement).....not necessarily about the policies themselves. A grey area example might be the votes on closing GITMO. In this example, it appears the Dems are all for closing it and the Republicans are against it. However, as much campaigning Obama did on the issue, did he really ever put forth a real effort to close it??? No.

  38. As big as recruitment as this is, I honestly think we are undervauling the importance of this. We were miles behind, not even in the picture, prior to Frost/Rudd. Within 6 months we lead. Also this is the #1 kid on the overall board, the one the staff circled and said we must get. TO made that public even and that wasn't on accident.

  43. UCF is a mid-major themselves, with mid-major athletes, so I'm not sure what you're getting at here. And it was a 0-12 team when he took over. The turnaround has been nothing short of astonishing. And no, I don't want to see Riley's Huskers playing the likes of UCF or Navy.
