  3. While this Home Alone remake ad for Google was clever, I was surprised to see that Macauley Culkin does not look quite a strung out as I expected him to be at this point.

  4. I agree with your general point, but Trump has been running around claiming the successes of the stock market as his own. He and the Repubs told us all about how the tax cuts and deregulation would create this incredible economy. Now people are pointing out that Trump and the Repubs need to own the failures if they've been crowing about the successes.

  5. That's JUCO Larry, he doesn't even have an entry on 247 out of high school and was unrated (but has a profile) on rivals. Seems like he blossomed at the JUCO, but was even more under the radar than Eugene out of high school. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2005/larry-asante-127085

  6. How smooth this recruitment went is still amazing to me. - make offer - build rapport - set up OV - Pass ball all over Fleck - Commit - End Seamless and frankly unheard of for a highly rated kid from the WC.

  8. I don't have a lot to add. Trump is an idiot and he'll no doubt do his best to tank the economy again before we are rid of him, but he's not doing it alone. It's time to start referring to "Trickle down economics" (supply side economics) how it was in the 1890s. It should tell you more about how viable a theory it is. Then it was the "horse and sparrow theory" as in: "If you feed a horse enough oats, some will surely pass through to the sparrow". Republican theories on business, taxation and monetary policy have been around a long time. They just like to rebrand them and dupe idiots into thinking they sound good and sensible for everyone, not just the horses. Y'all enjoy eating s#!t right?

  10. It does have a lot to do with the existing tax plan which is inflating the deficit and for the rich to make a blatant money grab before the economy goes to s**t. It was sold as something benefiting the middle class via investment by the rich and corporations into their businesses and employees. Had that tax plan not been in place, things would have been a bit smoother for everyone involved--as it stands now, the only folks with a smooth landing in what appears to be a bumblin', stumblin' bear market will be the rich that benefited from the tax plan.

  11. Is this the right time to mention the myth of trickle down economics?

  12. Absolutely. 2 different players, 2 different positions. The appeal of Wandale is only partly in what he can do with the ball in his hands, it's also the fact we now have our hybrid hb/wr. That's a huge part of this offense missing from last year. To give one of many examples, this is a scenario that happened often at UCF/Oregon: Come out in 3 receivers, Wandale and Washington in split backs. What personnel does the defense choose? That personnel suggests run, with the qb potentially representing 3 runners in the backfield. If you come out to match with two LBs and Wandale motions out, especially to something like trips, that's a huge mismatch. If you represent a weak box and Wandale stays as a back, you could be facing something like a triple option with either back as the dive. Having a guy like Wandale gives an offense the luxury of benefitting from both 1 back and 2 back systems at the same time. It opens up a new dimension to this offense.

  13. If Frank had never had the NU job and did what he has done at Ohio when he was 45 instead of 75...he would be the hottest name in CFB.

  14. I hate January. But I like the change of seasons. Ideally winter would only last 3 weeks though. Enough for 1 big snow which melts after 3 days.

  20. And Notre Dame has been 10-2 or better (regular season) exactly 3 times in the past 12 years and 5 times in the past 25 years. So apparently they're not "reasonably competent" all that often.

  22. I agree with everything you've been saying, and I think a major correction was in the cards regardless. It's just hard taking the high road when Trump and the Republicans will take credit where it's not due, blame the Dems for obstructionism, and all the high road evidence in the world won't budge a base that believes the President is a gift from God. But I do hate false dichotomies myself and appreciate your vigilance.

  23. Be that as it may, even if that was a fair sentence, if he was rich/powerful (ignoring that he probably wouldn't need to steal people's s#!t lol) he'd get a fine and 2-3 years probation.

  26. 20 years seems appropriate if not light to me. Someone willing to break into another person's home and steal what they have worked to earn has no place in our society. Lucky they didn't break into someone's house when they were home. Who knows how that goes down? Does someone die?

  31. The fact that the Idoiots Out Wandering Around have kept Ferentz around long enough to actually win a bunch of games and have those one-off seasons every 5-7 yrs of being pretty good. I mean, good for him that they’ve kept him around. We would’ve fired 3-4 times over his tenure if he did here what he did there. I do give him great credit for a clean program, hard hitting teams, some bowl appearances/wins. But no, he’s not better than Solich.

  32. Job security wise, this would be a leap of faith. Richt's recruiting class this year was uninspiring and the recent history of the 'Canes is flaming out in the second half of the year. Good news is the ACC is darn mediocre outside of Clemson so lots of room for anyone in the conference to take the next step up.
