  1. No. They celebrated a walk on 3rd string kicker ( who really didn't even come here to kick) winning the game at the last second with a field goal. It was a great moment and has nothing to do with the mindset of where people (or players) think this program should be.

  5. There's no good reason from American Security standings to do anything like what Trump is doing in Syria. This furthers the aims of tyrants, Erdogan and Putin. And Trump is their little fanboy trying to emulate them. Don't believe me. Believe one of our boys on the ground over there. This is F'ing tragic. How the F do you support this guy?!?! The Kurds are sticking by us. And Trump is abandoning them. Is this what an honorable country does to its allies? Is this the action of an honorable man, or the kind of man who got out of service in Vietnam because of "bone spurs?" What are you actually supporting? What kind of America do you want?

  6. Noah Vedral: Throws one incompletion. Huskerboard: "He's just not making good decisions we need to see McCaffrey for a series to settle Vedral down."

  7. He is a statue. He has -41 yards rushing. Wait...but last year he rushed for 51 yards...on 41 attempts. The only guy that things this dude is not a statue is Mike Riley...Riley would classify him as a true "Duel Threat"

  8. I drove from Palm Springs to Lincoln for the Ohio State game. Disappointed in the game but not the fans. Many in the stadium as the clock ran out. Down 48-7 and still cheering. Was very good to see. As to the stadium, still the same filthy place it was the last time I was there, for Texas and Nebraska. We paid a lot for tickets and sat in section 131. We had seats in the middle of the row. People on both sides, and most of the row were over 200 pounds and up. Squished together so you had to stand sideways to even have room. One couple, could not even stand in front of the seats they had paid for. The guy had to stand behind his wife in the next row. The women's restroom was disgusting according to the wife. I never use them because of the pig stye situation I have encountered on past visits. The game was bad, the fans absolutely fantastic. But the experience was terrible. I don't come back for games often, this was the last time. For the money they make, they need to consider the fan experience I think. The following weekend we attended the Missouri/Troy State game. Seats seemed to be larger between the lines, far less people in the stands. But it was enjoyable. Restrooms were very clean and maintained. The next day we drove to Arrowhead and watched the Chiefs play. Stadium was immaculate, rest rooms the same. Parking was quite difficult to get out of. Overall a great week, but unfortunately the low point was the attendance of the game at the place I love. We don't need to spend millions upon millions for spoiled teenagers. Some of the money should go to improving the fan experience. I know the old girl is old, but something needs to be done about the restrooms. If I owned a business in the state that was operated like that, it would be closed. It was disgusting and we are better than that.

  9. Some are picking us, and the ones that aren't are predicting a close game. I think a lot of the experts question our defense based on Illinois, but we held them to 299 yards - scoring drives of 2, 14, and 30, and 37 yards will make it look like the defense really struggled. Obviously you've got to stop them on a short field sometimes, but as long as we don't fumble 4 times inside our own 40 we're not giving up a ton of points.

  12. Even Johnny Rodgers thinks Rudy is trying to live off his college days way too much, and Rudy didn't even accomplish anything. Joe Montana doesn't have great things to say about Rudy. Is it a great movie just because it's a football movie? I don't think the movie is very good. It makes me want to punch Rudy in the face.

  14. IMO, every season should be looked at it’s own separate entity. There are different players on the roster each year, different circumstances, and opponents can change (same opponents can get better/worse, too). That’s why I hate preseason polls who basically go off on how teams finished the previous season. Clemson doesn’t look as good as they did last season, but are still in the top 2. I guess people are frustrated because NU isn’t progressing from the 4-2 finish last year. I get it. The QB is the same, and many of the other parts are the same, but they aren’t playing as expected. However, the o-line is very different and much younger. I think the D has gotten much better, and is a good mix of veteran leaders and young talent. I look at it that NU is getting better in getting wins so far this season. NU isn’t in the position to worry about style points. Just get W’s and keep building the program.

  16. You may want to put that in a spoiler box with a trigger warning commando. Some folks legitimately don't do well being exposed to that kind of thing. I saw it as well and thought about posting but didn't wind up doing it. Can confirm though, seeing dead children because our country is run by a corrupt buffoon really ruined my night. Reminder that there is a real world cost to a Trump presidency. Thought this made a lot of sense:

  18. Did you see how fast the offense moved with him in last week? He should be the starter

  19. You mean like the massive game he had against Illinois where Martinez nearly had 450 total yards offense?

  20. Didn't need to do that. Bunch is still on the team. They just didn't think of it on the spot.

  21. Hate they used him for 1 play last game because Vedral helmet popped up. Should have just went some wildcat look.

  22. Why not. He has 3 games to burn and its likely we won't need him in any more than this one. Could be a nice wrinkle.

  23. The players should be celebrating like that. Nothing wrong with celebrating a win, no matter who the opponent or how it happened. These kids are here for a short time. Celebrating a win and being happy about how the team played is not the same thing. However, I think Frost was walking off the field with a look of relief. His mindset is probably thinking "man, we have a long ways to go". I didn't notice him celebrating wildly.

  26. I like this kid a lot. He knows how to keep his leverage at the best advantage with his footwork. People talk about footwork with linemen as if it's only about "where you're moving to" as your defender attacks. But it's also about keeping your leverage. He's got a great build for a guard. I really hope we get him. To anybody that says you have to be recruited by a ton of Top 25 schools as a lineman to be considered "great," Milt Tenopir and Boyd Epley's legacies say 'hello.'

  27. As far as I know, we're completely healthy on defense. I'm not really seeing anything about this game that says Minnesota puts up more than 30 points on us. But if Martinez doesn't play, Washington has to step up and have one of his better games of his young career so far to bail us out of this one.

  29. I believe that Frost is a superior X and O coach to Fleck. That was apparent last year when we absolutely gashed them. I think Frost will continue to have Flecks number and I expect our defense to come to play ball and our offense score enough to win. #GBR

  30. I personally think that most people are picking the Gophers simply by looking at their record compared to ours. 5-0 is more impressive than 3-2. However, as I've said in other threads, there are reasons to believe we have a good chance of winning this game. I wish the weather was going to be normal....but, that's an issue for both teams.

  31. This is exactly what I wanted. I want EVERYONE picking the gophers. I hope it motivates the Huskers just a bit more and we can beat that used car salesman of a coach.

  33. Seems weird the S and CB are that close together, even if they are both supposed to be deep. But yeah, the playing off and tackling the guy in front of you works on 3rd and 14. Not 2nd/3rd and 5.

  38. Hey, Nebraska is a 7.5 point underdog so you might as well throw some money on the Nebraska moneyline. Think about it, it's a win/win either way. If Nebraska wins you'll get about 2.5/1 on your money and if they lose you won't have to worry about those pesky EMTs fishing through your wallet when they drag you of the river!
