Deion even being seriously discussed is frankly comical, particularly in comparison to someone like Dave Aranda, whose laundry list of accomplishments as a defense coordinator and head coach at the FBS level dwarfs anything Deion has done as a college coach. If you want to be an off season punch line and make a splash hire, yeah... Deion will do that for ya.9 points

Amazing. He looks all American tonight. Thanks SF for the wasted opportunity and the wasted years7 points

I loved his comment after the game saying the culture at KSU is special. Touché Scotty.6 points

Nice to have a line and a real coaching staff.6 points

It has to happen or Trev loses his job next year. It falls on him so if it’s an underwhelming hire Trev seat gets hotter then the pit of a volcano6 points

Face the music. K-State is a far better team, more disciplined, tougher, and with Adrian running or passing, they could be Big 12 champs. Nebraska fans were pretty hard on this kid, when clearly, even if he were still here, I believe we beat Northwestern and Georgia South. His running ability is missed, it also covered up our bad O-line for all the years he was here. Give him credit. He was barely touched tonite, and slid most of the time. Give him credit. Warner did ok as well, but isn't going to win any foot races. Made some key third down grabs. Frost was a fraud, and didn't build a culture or a program. I am sitting here thinking about all the players we lost in his tenure that have made impacts elsewhere.............a few have. I watched KU and KSU today, and believe me, those two coaches, coach up and develop players. I think we could do a lot worse than hiring either one of those dudes.5 points

This just goes to show what I’ve suspected for a while: the enigma of AM is clearly an indictment on SF and the dude bros he brought with him5 points
-
Riley didn't take the program backwards. He had the team taken away from him after his second season when the boosters forced Bob Diaco onto the staff. Riley gave up knowing he would get blamed for Diaco's joke of a defense. I'm not okay with him giving up, but I understand it.5 points

This makes me want to throw up. Good for Adrian, but wow this one is a kick in the balls.5 points

How are we going to try to argue NU is an after thought when they brought in the portal transfers they did last year and have had top 25 classes in recent years? Them being bad and having their coach fired isn’t justification for this kind of hyperbole. There are plenty of coaches who could take the NU job and bring in a Top 25-30 class within the first year or two and they’re not only named Deion. That’s far from an afterthought program.5 points

I would like to see more sample size here. Before tonight he was getting called to be benched.4 points
-
lol. what qb is good with a bad o-line?4 points
-
Riley was a superior coach to Frost. Had SF not been fired there's an extremely good chance he could have been the worst coach ever in Nebraska, instead he holds the second worst.4 points
-
The only thing that stopped Adrian here was our crappy oline. A lot of us pointed that out over and over and got the stupid laughy face in response. Adrian was never our problem the oline was and continues to be.4 points
-
Dude I’m so happy for Adrian. Not his fault we’re a dysfunctional program. So fun watching him dominate at his best. Kleiman a far superior coach to Frost, too. Screw OU.4 points
-
Way to go Adrian! Glad he's finally got the monkey off his back. He deserves this!4 points

Glad we don't have to play KSU, or KU this year. They'd both destroy us.4 points

1) Urban 2) Deion 3) Someone big who hasn’t seriously been mentioned 4) Other4 points

I don't mean this to come off brashly, but what's there to talk about? The biggest thing it means is that MJ would be afforded the protection of receiving his original buyout should the new coach choose to not retain him. It doesn't really have much impact outside of that.4 points

Besides having a very talented bowl bound team, you can tell it's very well coached. I wonder if a slightly different scheme, different specific plays as well as more disciplined players would have helped Martinez to be the player he was tonight. Methinks the problems at Nebraska run way deeper than many have thought.3 points

I suspect that the Tulane game was the outlier rather than OU not being very good OU showed some real speed. Perhaps we wore them down last week. A team can get pretty tired when they score 49 unanswered points3 points

Love adrian, but he is nothing without a decent line. Clearly that was atleast one of the issues. So disappointed in frost3 points
-
And Martinez took the blame far too often when the “native son” was the biggest crook out there.3 points
-
Adrian was always a good QB who had too much put on him to be the savior. He was surrounded by average talent and crappy coaching. I’m happy for the kid.3 points
-
So much this....In less than 1 year with Klieman, AM finally beats a ranked team.......And isn't the leading rusher for 3 years IIRC....Coaching matters. A lot.3 points
-
Maybe we should have kept Adrian and gotten rid of his coach sooner.3 points
-
Good for Adrian. I am happy for that young man. The talent was always there. He took a lot of grief on this board over the years (including from me), but when you put his athletic talent along with a strong running game, good pass protection, and a coach who can manage a game - this kind of performance against OU is what you get. His play tonight just reveals what competant coaching looks like. I still can't believe how awful Scott Frost's coaching tenure truly was at Nebraska.3 points

f#&%ing “Row the boat” is currently undefeated. It drives me nuts he’s a good coach because he’s also such a turbodouche.3 points
-
He scrambles for 50 yards on a 3rd & 14 to clinch the game…3 points
-
Yep. Nice kid. We couldn't even get him a guy who could snap the ball correctly.3 points
-
haha. our program is a joke. k state about to beat oklahoma after ou put up 49 in 3 qtrs against us at home.3 points

Better defense, better OL, players around him (freshman year), & coaching3 points
-
Not that we had any doubts at this point but AM finally proving are issues were beyond him. Finally doing what we could never do here.3 points
-
Funny how good AM looks tonight at KSU under good coaching and with a good OL. Our former staff failed our players FHCSF had 4 years with AM and squandered his talent by not developing the OL Get a developer here and we can turn this thing around3 points

Thanks, it is the first time I see it. Still doesn't make it acceptable. And I stand by my reaction to it.3 points

Well that is a disappointing problem for the Univ of Nebraska if true, and it only adds to our fan's fuzzy way of thinking. It's just money. How many times do we have to touch a hot stove? Maybe some drops of Visine or Clear Eyes will help. Nobody offered $5-8 million a year for PJ Fleck to take the Minn job. (Husker fans will say, "Yeah, but we're Nebraska") PJ turned it around and is doing great. Nobody offered $5-8 million a year for Fickell to take the Cincy job. (Husker fans will say, "Yeah, but we're Nebraska") Fickell turned it around and is doing great. Nobody offered $5-8 million a year for Aranda to take the Baylor job. (Husker fans will say, "Yeah, but we're Nebraska") Aranda turned it around and is doing great. Nobody offered $5-8 million a year for Campbell to take the ISU job. (Husker fans will say, "Yeah, but we're Nebraska") Campbell turned it around and is doing great. Nobody offered $5-8 million a year for Leipold to take the KU job. (Husker fans will say, "Yeah, but we're Nebraska") Leipold turned it around and is doing great. Why does Nebraska have to offer a blank check for the next coach just to come here? Do you not see a financial problem? Do you not understand the Husker job is not like it once was, before 2000? I feel like, when it is all said and done, the best the Huskers will do is hiring some other Assistant Coach (from somewhere), or a G5 coach (small success sample size) or an FCS coach. But also, the Huskers will throw loads of cash to make him one of the higher paid coaches in the conference, or among FBS. It will be like touching a hot stove again.3 points
-
I'm pretty sure a similar clause is in every assistant coach's contract. Just means they get paid if a new coach doesn't keep them on the staff.3 points
-
That's definitely his only downside. I just think his, fairly extreme, upside would offset it.3 points

The one that exposed the FBI using a described (by themselves BTW) source in order to further a collision investigation that went nowhere except crimes that had nothing to do with the actual original investigation. OK3 points

If truly all of the things we’re hearing are true, then he’s broken as a person. If that’s true, then it was likely a long process over the past few years and he left a very different man than he was when he arrived.3 points

What I do to listen to games is use the TuneIn Radio app and listen to a Nebraska station such as KRVN or KGFW etc. That does the trick and aloooooooot more reliable. I had to uninstall the Husker app because it was frustrating me too much. Also as someone else mentioned I hope they fix Sports Nightly. It was so good before the media rights shakeup and the new format. I miss all the guys they got rid of.3 points

And if baylor beats iowa state, write the check to aranda today? I hope to God this coaching search comes down to much more than that.3 points

If by that you mean the guy he was with - Joel Greenberg - who venmo'd numerous young women various sums with strange captions, plead guilty to 6 charges, including sex trafficking of a minor. But he does have a glorious R next to his name, it therefore must be the case that is a collision hoax. I mean, sure, everybody in the guys orbit is a scumbag, and maybe a guy he traveled with frequently with young women plead guilty to sex trafficking, but no sir. Not Matt Gaetz!3 points

If he did indeed ask for a pardon for this based on another unconfirmed report than yes, the career Prosecutors thought it to be unnecessary too. I don’t care much for Geatz either, just think it’s funny all the folks who convicted him based on unconfirmed newspaper reports. It’s like Russia collusion hoax all over again.3 points

Sort of, I mean, they are not moving the line because of a podcast...they are moving it because of money that is being bet. So a lot of money must have come in because it was a huge jump.2 points
