Well technically it's not "more guns" it's the same amount of guns but freely carried into places where you can defend yourself that are typically the places that get shot up.

First, it is more guns. Second, it's more guns in an environment that previously had fewer guns, as you just pointed out.

I look at it as there's an incident rate with guns, and so gun incidence is likely to increase. You are arguing that the real model is that the more guns are in an environment, the ... fewer shootings there will be?

Yea, not everyone's cup of tea, some of it is not just dark but just depressing, then again, some rocks, some is powerful, some electronica, some avant-garde and some is funky, real mixed bag. That Austin show, has a bit of everything and he has a couple female backup vocals that give the music a different vibe.

I saw NIN back when Closer To God was a big hit.  Great show actually.  I'll be seeing them again in a few weeks here at Riot Fest.  Not sure what that will be like.  

This guy had the balls to send a letter to the judge in the case stating that "he is struggling to deal with victim statements and is uncertain in "my ability to be able to face witnesses these next four days, mentally.""

My response would have been to force him to listen to every statement, on loop, for the entirety of his life-long prison sentence, which would hopeful be short and agonizing. 

I dunno Cdog....I feel that this is one guy that needs a long and agonizing prison stay.

@krc1995 “travel” meaning that we play other twin city metro area suburbs/schools.  The team is made up of kids in our school district.  It’s about a tournament every other weekend from November through February.  It’s not AAU or anything where we are going to Chicago or someplace.

Trust me, I don’t have dreams of the kid being the next Larry Bird, and his chances of ever playing varsity is slim being that our school has about 900/grade.

But he is a good athlete and enjoys the challenge of playing against good competition.  He told me many times last year when we were winning games by 40 points in our house league that it “wasn’t much fun”.

I would consider it a blessing he has this opportunity to be one that isn't picked and the fact that it upset him would bring me even more joy.  You have the makings of a winner in the best sense.

That new Asian Highlands exhibit was a work-in-progress when we went this summer.  Maybe skip that.

If they have it open, my son (9) really enjoyed the sting ray exhibit where you can touch the sting rays. He also really enjoyed the aquarium and the swamp. The desert dome wasn't the best in his opinion. He also liked the monkeys and the giraffes.

Sorry- I just noticed you said Friday.  I thought that was a lot for one day.  lol

The zoo is so big that it might be kind of hard to sustain the kiddos attention to see the whole thing-but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. We normally end with an Imax movie-entertaining and restful.  I haven't been since summer 2017, but the aquarium is by far our favorite as well as the giraffe nursery. Don't know if they continually have babies there. And if you can believe, we love the petting zoo.  Kind of weird since our kids are far from young, but on our last trip the baby goats were play fighting and it was adorable.

@HuskerInLostWages Instead of the XFL, really wish the CFL would make another go at trying to get American teams added/expanding.  The games are fun to watch, and the timing doesn't interfere with anything of import, sports-wise.

I still say make all reactions transparent.  It would lead to more quality upvoting.  Bring back the eye roll and let people se who thinks they are morons, about 90% less would be handed out.  +1 's wouldn't flow like tears off ScottyIce's face.  It's about quality not quantity people.

I also think Amigo's was hurt when people started being smart and not driving home drunk from the bars.  That meant less people stopping at Amigo's on their way home, and having their Uber take them right home.

Amigo's isn't great, but the food brings back nostalgic memories.  The OP of the scalding bucket of cheese was spot on.  That had to be the hottest substance known to man.
