I think even as mportant as the foul shots are to the outcome of the game, equally the fact that there is absolutely no flow to the game. Play stoppage every time you're up and down the court? How does a team find a rythym with this crap going on?

With whats going on, it is making the game less enjoyable to watch.

They are no different than we were not so long ago: fans of a program who want to root for their program, who aren't in a position to want to believe anything different about this guy.

They were talking to Steve Sipple about this issue on 1620 The Zone today. They wondered if folks out in like Scottsbluff or Ainsworth were as passionate about this win as the Omaha-CBluffs folks are.

I grew up in Scottsbluff (Gering). I have no real feelings for Iowa or people from Iowa at all. CU was more interesting to us- still a fake rivalry (like Iowa). I am into the game Friday bc/ of bowl eligibility, not bc/ it is Iowa.

I can't remember what game it was, but an announcer was saying  something to the effect. that they couldn't wait until Nebraska was back where it belonged-up in the top 10 again.  They said that when Nebraska football is at its best it helps college football overall.  I agree.  (Moiraine-noble effort!  I like Frostion!   I don't know about anyone else but I enjoy the Canadian sitcom, 'Corner Gas'.  It's about a small town called 'Dog River'.  Anyway, in one of their episodes two of the characters were getting ready to play a trivia game.  One of the characters said, 'Ok, get frosty.'  which meant get ready to play to win.  So to the Big Red I say-GET FROSTY!!!)

@ladyhawke I think the Michigan State-Washington State game was on FOX, so the color commentator would have been Joel Klatt.  I think Klatt is the best analyst announcer in the game.  He's a former Colorado QB under Gary Barnett who knows his stuff.

ColoradoHusk, glad someone else heard that too!  Klatt is good and always seems to have a good word for Nebraska. 

I just need to chill out.  I've seen this type of thing before on HB.  When things calm down a little we will see less of this kind of thing!  Thanks all!

True.  This is all such a mess. I watched that game last night and our boys came out strong then the OC called a pass play when we were running the ball so well. THAT is what frustrates me the most! You would think tha Riley himself would start calling the offense when we started to go downhill. We've got some nice talent but is it being developed?

IDK what’s happened to Purdue. I watched them early in the season and thought they looked much improved. Now I’m not so sure. But I’m still not counting any game as a win. We’ve looked pathetic on both sides of the ball at different times this year. I have no feeling or idea what we’ll get from week to week anymore. If beating Purdue and Northwestern is all we have to look forward to, that’s a pretty sad state of affairs.

Minnesota looks terrible too. Not to mention Iowa hasn't looked overly impressive since PSU and MSU. We still have 3-4 potential wins on the schedule. Like you said, no games that we can just assume are wins.

I know but I'm trying to think positively. I feel so badly for our boys.

For me there's only one poster who fits that description.  It seems like all of his posts are like that. Full of doom and gloom. He's new on the block. I don't like to throw people under the bus. He knows who he is as I put a picture of dear Eeyore in reply to his post. I'm never against folks sharing how they feel about the team but the angst this kiddo shares is a little much. I hadn't seen that much drama since my old theater days in college. This is Husker football-Not Hamlet.

Hi Melby, I'm sorry you think it's weird or disrespectful. Our reason for including it is to pay homage and give support to our Huskers.. I know if I could be in that locker room with those young men I would be yelling just as loud as they do.  GBR!

I wouldn't count on it. Based on what I've seen of Nova, thinking about putting half my retirement on them. They look pretty unbeatable.

Michigan may do a little better than Kansas vs Nova because they have some height other than the center. I'm not sure they have enough speed.  Mich can't take 5 or 6 minutes off in stretches and expect to win.  They will need to be on from the opening tip.

I agree with both of you. Nova is  solid team.

Yeah, I thought it looked like a collarbone or a shoulder. Hopefully nothing serious.

Didn't see it as we were driving and listening in but since he sustained the injury delivering a big hit, that's the typical mechanism of injury for a collarbone injury. Could also be an SC or AC joint injury (where the clavicle connects to your sternum and acromion, respectively).

Could also be a dislocation but those are far less common especially when delivering a hit. Was he holding his shoulder or grabbing near his collarbone?

The Jeep one had local Nebraska interest for sure but that was not overly obvious to the casual observer and as for a commercial, it was pretty blah. Even the bosses involvement was subdued. They could've filmed that with anybody and saved themselves some $$'s. I was disappointed with it.

Slim pickens this year for commercials.  The best ever was the Bud Light chainsaw commercial. 

I would have felt even worse. Like I was telling the Miami fans in front of me, we had no right to be in that game at the end. They fully expected it with Al Golden as their coach though, but that would have been a hallow victory.

I did not go to Arrowhead this year. I've been to about half the Fall Classics at Arrowhead. NWMO and Pittsburg State represent the strength of the MIAA very well. Neither school is a stranger to the DII national championship game.

NC game will be in KC next year if they make it! didn't go there but live here and its been a hella fun day!
