Check team ppg over the years.... It's virtually the same..... I hate the "in my day" argument in pro sports.
Dewiz, he's in his 15th year.... How good was MJ on D in his 15th year? He was a shell of himself by then. For many years, LeBron was one of the best defenders in the league, and may be the most versatile defender ever (Could guard 1 thru 5 with ease).

@Moiraine Must be a different story
http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2018/05/07/injured-bear-fatally-mauls-man-who-attempted-to-take-selfie-with-it.html I think the only way to help someone being mauled by a bear would be to injure the bear. I could probably save my friend but that's not fair to the bear who is just being a bear, so I'd test Darwin's theory. Besides, people survive bear attacks.
I prefer to watch bears from a distance without disturbing them https://explore.org/livecams/bears/brown-bear-salmon-cam-brooks-falls. I spent a workday watching them catch salmon and decided that it's not easy being a bear.
-
@4skers89 it's the same story. I don't remember which place I read that they were treating the bear, but I'm guessing the one I saw was wrong.

I was talking about Knap's bear story post in the Misc Topic BS thread: LINK

Going to mow this week end. My back yard does pretty well, but my front yard is a giant ball of clay in perma-shade. I think I am going to do what @RedDenver suggested and do ground cover instead of grass. (I refuse to live in an HOA by the way) -
@huKSer, I'd love to replace all the grass with a ground cover like white or subterranean clover. Or even better, don't replace grass, just sow the clover into it and let the "weed" take over.

I was shocked but glad to see that FX aired an uncut, unedited version of Straight Outta Compton on Saturday night at 7pm. First time seeing that movie and loved it...brings back memories of growing up listening to Eazy-E

@ZRod good to know. I had heard mixed things about Hulu's TV over IP offering...but the more people keep going to TV-over-IP, the more they'll keep honing their craft.
Now if we could just get Net Neutrality instituted again so the customers have full, unfettered control over their internet, then it will be a golden age for television yet again.

One of Sioux City’s most recognized and loved icon, died two days ago which saddens me. She was 100 and was mostly known as a door greeter at Walmart and working at the Mall’s movie theater. RIP Mikki!!!

Looking for a good receiver for under $500 that’s 7.2. Deciding between the Sony STRDH770 or Yamaha RX-V583B. Anyone have other options to look at?
-
Thinking about getting a Bose Soundtouch 300 w/ the Bose Acustimass 300? Or should I update my receiver and get a all new subwoofer, floor speakers and bookshelf speakers? Thoughts?

If you want to go wireless then Sonos will be much better than Bose. However, running wires behind walls isn't too complicated especially if you have a suspended ceiling. If you ever want true surround sound, you will have to plug your rear speakers into an outlet in locations that you probably don't have outlets. But if a soundbar and sub is all you want, then the Sonos playbar and sub is significantly better than Bose. There are also much cheaper soundbars with wireless subs that will be better than Bose.

@Dewiz Been traveling the last couple of days. Here is my assessment; use as you wish. Systems like SoNos are a closed ecosystem. Currently, it supports 5.1, the current state of the art is 7.4.2+. When Sonos decides to expand there is zero guarantee that the current systems won't be left behind., with wired you just run more wires and upgrade the receiver, and sell the old one on CL to offset the costs.
If you are starting with a 5.1 system there is no need to knock holes in the ceiling. Under carpet runs are pretty easy to do, this will save hassle down the line if you upgrade to ATMOs. IMO long term effective leans on wired.
