  1. Channel 7 wowt in Omaha reported the new hot rumor is possibly David Shaw….said flight into California today. Per Sean Callahan, the airport that plane landed would only be to visit Shaw….. I know that I am against the entire move, but if we could get SHAW, I would friggin do cartwheels. He has been my #1 choice, over the years whenever someone would ask me who my "dream" coach would be !!! PLEASE !

The virus does not have to be live for you to produce an antibody response. Your antibodies do not recognize whole viral cells or whole bacterial cells. Antibodies can recognize a small sequence of one protein. They can be remarkably specific. A heat killed sample of a virus is not infectious but still has many viral proteins present. Your body creates antibodies to some of these proteins that gives you temporary immunity to that strain of flu. The fever you got is your body mounting an immun...

  3. Let's fire Bo, lose a majority of a pretty good "base" of recruiting class, a few transfers, and bring in someone who it will take 4-5 years to "get his guys".... only to win 9 games (if lucky, cause no one else has won as much as Bo) and be criticized every week/year..... I bet the great coaches will be knocking down our door. Not a coach worth his salt would be interested...unless you are still living in the 80's-90's

I agree with your OP, Hanc. People don't realize that we'd be throwing 2 or 3 years down the toilet to change coaches. Plus a $7 million buyout. But whatever..

      JJ Husker

The short answer is, we get rid of Bo because what he brings us is not worth keeping. 9 hollow wins with no championships, no wins over ranked opponents, and a handful of embarrassing losses. Not worth keeping.

  4. Not superficial, but man am I glad Belima said NO to the offer, because I wouldn't want him as the face of the program….sorry, just not a fan of BB

@akita, I've already stated my case to ZRod, but another thing I'd like to add to the argument is that if we've learned anything about playing in the B1G in our 2 short years, it's that no game is a gimme. The Indianas and Purdues of the world have beaten Ohio State in the last 5 years. A mediocre Northwestern came into Lincoln with a win a year ago, and almost got another one this year. Those teams are full of 2-3 star talent and walk-ons.

hanc you were right to fire back. I completely typed the wrong thing in response to your original post!

  6. Is anyone else "torn" about NU BB? At one point, I am ready to get a fresh start, seeing same old results last 4 years. In the next breath, I see a very young team that battles and battles, so I think give Tim another year. When I think that, I feel as if I am setting myself up to feel the same thing next year. Friggin Groundhog Day all over.

When UNL grabbed, he was a hot commodity and most thought he was a great coach. I think it was a bit of bad luck coupled with the turnaround being harder. If they go after someone else, they'll have to be proven otherwise it'll be more of the same...

Few more years ? This is year 5 and has one winning season and finished in top 8 in conference once. Give him one more year and he better make a postseason tournament or should be gone.

  7. Although I don't respect or support "how" Bo went on a rampage and involved the players in "his" problem…. so let me say it again…… I don't agree with Bo… but, the message he sent was exactly the SAME thing some of us, including former players have been saying all along… Bo didn't have a chance once SE came in…. The higher ups, wanted him gone, and made sure it would happen. Bo sure didn't help himself, and really made thei...

Who do you know that explains away 70-31? Who can explain 59-24? Who can explain 63-38?

Who can explain all those hundreds and hundreds of yards rushing? Who can specifically explain Melvin Gordon?

There is NO EXPLANATION for those games, other than an unprepared team.

    3. knapplc

      knapplc

Claiming some vague inside information, that a person "knows what they know," is 100% irrelevant to the fact that Bo put unprepared teams on the field each of his seven years. You don't listen to insiders when that happens, you fire the coach.

      Count 'Bility

Yeah Z. I've read through it. They basically more-than-compensated this "advisor" for basically convincing talent to choose Oregon. They're screwed, because this is far more widespread than 1 man in Reggie Bush or a handful of guys getting tatoos at Ohio St. From what I've read, I've formed the opinion that Oregon's gonna get slapped pretty hard.

  16. I have this feeling that if #3 would have had this game, the fanbase would be going apesh!t about how bad he is and be ready to run him out of town, but since #4 is our "savior", this gets pinned on the coaches, whom, didn't fumble once today...and had a plan that was working against this so-called #1 def

  20. Just putting it out there… I am going to say that there is 0% chance of anyone long ties to former staffs… Farther back than Pelini…. will not be retained.
