No one in there right mind should be concerned about the defense that we play, if you put no pressure on the other team to accumulate points by SCORING with players like Horrne. I think that by the end of my first year with the writing on the wall that I was not going to play, I would stay and enjoy my time at the big school.

I loved my big school experience at UNL. While I didn't play football, it would still be great to enjoy that big college experience and be part of the team.

But that wasn't the question teach. I might opt for the big school without playing too...But not if I was still putting in the time and effort of practice, lifting, conditioning, etc. Anybody doing the work should prefer playing to riding the pine. I'd be concerned about the person who didn't have that level of competitiveness in them.

Pretty sure 247 does an "enrolled" ranking around the end of August. And they do a current roster ranking as well once the season starts.

We get a decent group of families to go trick or treating.  We have one stretch of homes, which we call The Halloween Loop.  We have a group of about 6 families, which translates to about 10-12 kids to go from house to house as a group.  The parents are able to walk behind drinking beer and wine.  We even have a "pre-game" party from 5-6 PM.

What bar doesn't over serve? Why don't authorities work with bars and patrons to just get everyone home safely. It would be better for all.

@ZRod or maybe the Governor could actually work to allow ride share apps like Lyft/Uber to work in Nebraska unfettered instead of kowtowing to taxi services that overcharge and underdeliver (except when it comes to campaign donations).

I think 20-30 minutes is about perfect but it usually takes me at least 10-15 minutes to fall asleep for a nap, and it's really hard to judge 'how long to take a nap' when I'm trying to inaccurately guesstimate how long it will take me to fall asleep. So, in the end, I usually 'nap' for about 45 minutes but maybe only slept for 20-30 of it.

I don't even consider laying down for a nap unless I have at least 3 hours to spare. 

Had a scratchy throat after work yesterday so I took several large swigs of bourbon and slept for 2 1/2 hours.  I feel great today.

I did some researching on the "origin of the jump stop." A few of the officiating websites stated that the traveling rules have been pretty much intact since inception and that the jump stop is part of the original rule (two feet landing at the same time)  

It depends on what you are calling a jump stop.  What it is supposed to be is catching the ball in the air then landing on both feet.  If you are saying they are catching it with one foot on the ground then jumping and coming down on both feet, that is technically not a travel.  That is a legal play per the rule book and always has been.  The catch is that you don't have a pivot foot in that scenario - you have to keep both feet on the ground where they are or jump and release the ball in the air.  If you do that an then pivot, then it is a travel.

If you want to watch someone who has mastered the art of when to pick up a basketball watch Harden. All of his moves look like travels but he has it timed perfectly that his "1st Step" is also at the same time he picks the ball up. Then what most people consider as steps 2 and 3 are actually 1 and 2 and this is why he is so hard to guard. 

That scene was fantastic.  Pure horror.

I loved that character, but the actor is right, the show grievously misused him.

Man that sucks,my dad would load us kids up and make it a weekend trip every summer to stock up on gear we needed for hunting and resupply everything I lost during fishing season, which was a lot!. I still haven't stepped foot in a bass pro and now I never will.

This is how I look at it...

1.  The people that they are pretending to be worried about getting hammered (students) are not the ones that are going to buy beers at the game...not at 5-7 dollars a beer and not when they would rather just sneak in some shooters.  So that argument is super mute and moot.  No college kid, that is 21, is going to be excited to spend 14 dollars (plus a tip) for two beers when 20 dollars get you a case of Natty...or about 5 drinks on O street.

2.  People that are going to drink at the game (older people) are running out at halftime and slamming down two beers and a shot...then heading back in.  That is more of an "issue" than a dude grabbing another beer at halftime and polishing it off during the 3rd quarter.

I went to a game in Minny, they served beer...me and buddy stood near the end zone...where the beers were and probably went through 4-5 beers each until the sales were done.  Cans of Grain Belt.  Didn't seem like that big of a deal.

I also think the idea of stopping sales at the end of the 3rd makes no sense.  Shouldn't they just not start sales until the end of the 1st?  It isn't like you are going to sober up during the 4th, that makes no sense, if anything the booze in your system has more time to f#&% with you.

My dad and grandpa would make it alot in the duck blind,that's the only time I've eaten it. Fried in duck fat it was pretty good.

I do agree he probably should've gotten a nomination that year although it's really hard to argue based on who got nominated.  I do think he should've got one over Malkovich for In The Line of Fire or maybe Pete Postlewaith for In The Name of The Father.  These were the other ones:
