No kidding!  They were up by 14 when I turned the tv off. When I heard they had lost I couldn’t believe it! 

But I was thrilled to hear our VB Girls came back and won the semifinals against IL.  What an incredible comeback!

Neither of their statlines are large enough to have stabilized this early into the season, but Nola seems off. I had Kershaw for many years in a keeper league, but finally let him go this year with the all the injuries and allure of younger guys.

Still, I think they're both risky at this point, but to me Kershaw is still going to offer elite level performance when he's on the field. Nola probably will but I think Kershaw is the safer bet. Just be ready for him to miss some time.

Used to play it...man that first season we played I think the post board ended up with like 5,000 posts...we loved it.

there is a difference between following recruits on twitter, and bashing them with hate b/c they made a life decision that you don't like. 

There’s definitely a few drops that were not 2AM’s fault but there are plenty of things to talk about that were his fault. 31-0 with 3 min to go in the first half looks great on the surface but I’d say it should be 45-0 without some of Adrian’s mistakes. Maryland is absolutely hapless.

@JJ Husker You aren't wrong, but not everything is automatically AMart's fault, much to the chagrin of people in the game thread. 

@Cdog923 it’s far from all his fault. We have plenty of issues. But he is nowhere near the same player we saw last year. IDK what it is but I hope they get it figured out cuz it’s obvious Frost won’t make adjustments when his starting QB makes repeated mistakes. I hate to complain when  we’re destroying a team like this but some of his passes and decisions and not seeing open receivers....I don’t get it other than we all know he has the most potential. I just wish it would start showing more in games. It’s making me question Frost and Mario.

That might have been the closest fight he’s ever had and it really wasn’t even that close by the end.  

Yeah, it's sad to see. SBNation was a daily visit from me for a long time. But once Bill Connelly left, it went downhill. Their "relaunch" as the Banner Society was a huge dud for me, because it was basically a website version of Shutdown Fullcast, which is just awful.

I never knew there was a link between Vox and SBNation.

Haha @Saunders the Shutdown Fullcast is definitely an acquired taste.  It's like pro wrestling mixed with....madness and college football.  PAPN with Bill C and Godfrey was the best CFB podcast by miles (although Bear and Stanford Steve are pretty good if you're into gambling) and I'm frankly a little pissed that Connelly doesn't have a dedicated podcast.  The new PAPN is still pretty good but once you've had the best, anything else is a downgrade. 

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked to see The Ringer snatch up the SBNation team.  The Ringer is pretty light when it comes to CFB and they seem to be willing to let people run loose a little bit.  The Ringer just signed the Cespedes Family BBQ guys (who are hilarious) so they're willing to acquire talent for sure.

Leach was a highly intelligent coach.....   but also, an original human being that did things in his own way, which happened to be viewed differently in other's opinions and views...... 

He was a great person, and so GREAT for the sport.  He will be forever loved and missed.

I'm trying to read the tea leaves but I'm guessing that circulation is down, costs to produce the magazine are going up and the usual stuff. They just opened up a new sports bar not too long ago, I wonder if they made a calculation and decided to allocate their funds there?

Aaron Babcock left the magazine for a gig in Alabama covering the Crimson Tide back in March. I knew subs were down. It's tough making money in the print industry these days.

I just hope everyone over there lands on their feet. Erin is one of my favorite Husker journalists, and Jacob has always been cool covering Husker Volleyball.

Also, Season 5 was a massive letdown compared to the previous 4. Seasons 1-4 are masterful.

Season 2 was not my favorite, 5 had potential to be great but I think it fell flat as well, however season 4 was incredible and could have overshadowed 5.

He's been gone since June, I think. The new guy, Brett Kane, is pretty good. He and Bock seem to play off each other pretty well.

I don't think Kane is too bad, but I kinda miss Welch. I'm glad Bock is getting more air time. He doesn't have a great radio voice, but I think he makes good points when he chimes in.

There's a pill for that.
