Can't wait to hear the bulls#!t from Frost. Honeymoon is over buddy.

@ZRod Oh, please. Being "in the game" against 1st year coach, inferior programs isn't what what he was brought here to do.... Or what he said he'd do in
'year 2".... I hope the local media isn't afraid to call him on it.
-
It's the second game of the year. Stop being a sour puss and have some fun. We have a young OL that is not good right now, but there are some exciting playmakers out there. The D looks like it's taken some big strides, but old habits keep creeping back in. We'll see how bad this CU team really is as the year goes on, and how much this NU team has changed from last season. We're pretty much where reasonable people thought we would be right now.
-
Watch out for us in year 2....Lol
-
Made the mistake of watching some of the Nebraska game over again, immediately prior to watching that Oklahoma offense last night.... Yeesh
-
Some of it might have to do with Nebraska fan's delusions about how good we are and have been over the past decade and change.
As much as I despise them, OU has solidly been one of the top-tier programs in football ever since I've been old enough to pay attention. We have not. Riley also had the luxury of brought on and having several years to learn the Stoops machine while it was kicking butt before inheriting it. Frost had to cut his teeth at UCF before coming here to take over a poorly coached Riley squad badly lacking in depth and star power.
Basically that offense is what we should strive for but it's going to take a lot of work and struggle to be that perennially dominant because Frost inherited such a mess.

Man, it's to early in the season for this board to be a dumpster fire.
-
All I've noticed are some dipsh#t newbies. That seems to always be a phenomenon at the beginning of every season. Many of them will get banned in short order. Most of the longer term members realize it was just one game and aren't reading way too much into it. Most. Now if we get manhandled by CU...yeah, it might be time to call the dumpster fire department.
-
Does the SEC "we beat each other up" excuse work in week 1 as well?
-
If you had to have one side of the ball look terrible today, I guess you'd pick the offense, considering it's likely Frost and Co will get that side figured out

We made it, friends! Our site is ruined, but we made it!

The ads on the mobile version are in the way of the "inserting" button, to use previously used gifs....

@Mavric mine is doing this on Chrome on an android phone.

Tomorrow, the Husker game will be tomorrow!

See @HuskerInLostWages . I'm correct

@B.B. Hemingway yes sir, you are correct today haha.

Ads have infiltrated the mobile version....

I was going to switch over to mobile just to avoid the ads but figured it was just a matter of time. I find the change to the # posts per page more annoying. It's going to get even more annoying when they figure out how to make HB behave the same as HuskerMax. So far I don't think they've noticed the difference so I'm not going to point it out.

Are there two bigger douchebags on Twitter than Gottlieb, and Dakich?

@commando Them two top the list, that I've seen (Along with Trump)

Not quite two weeks in, so maybe it improves, but this Severe/Benning combo is pretty terrible.

I agree from 6-7 they are babbling too much about a bunch of random crap. This move by KOZN was sort of a head-scratcher to me. They kept advertising Sharp and Benning as one of the top 25 sports talk shows in the nation so why in the hell would you change up something that's working? Is T. Beck now running KOZN? I was a big fan off S&B, but I too have been a little disappointed with the new arrangement. I'll give it more time though.

@Decoy73 hits the nail on the head. The problem they're having right now is the same problem I had with the first iteration of the show, except now they've discovered a different combination of people to make it happen - they get way too off topic too often and too quickly. I understand their excitement and all of that but I believe they desperately need to improve their flow and function.
I've been listening to a few segment podcasts. I downloaded one 11 minute segment titled something to do with Nebraska football, but when I actually listened to the segment, they maybe spent two minutes talking about that 'thing' and then the rest of it was off-topic conversation. It's like a real life conversation plinko board. I find myself just tapping the 'skip ahead 15 seconds' button waaaaaay too often in the hopes that they'll finally talk about something they're supposed to be talking about rather than what kind of food they like to serve at their house or what vehicle they drive.
Like, I get that it's radio and I also think it needs to be a bit loose. But, it's too loose right now.

Is there a good reason Isaac Gifford doesn't have an offer?

Greenland being invited to the U.S. is the equivalent of Rutgers being invited to the B1G.

Come now, @Moiraine, surely an equal-area projection would be more appropriate for that! I think a nice Mollweide projection is a good choice for showing Greenland.

As the longest tenured "Ozigbo" flag bearer, here on HB, this makes me proud.

@ColoradoHusk Outside of the two game stretch from Tre Bryant, I thought he was our best available back since his Freshman year. It seemed like he would shine (Illinois his Frosh year) and then Riley would make him disappear for three games.
Edit: Probably not over the last half of T. Newby's senior year.

@JJ Husker equal parts CBD, THC
-
@B.B. Hemingway oh no.....the THC is almost undetectable. They tell me it "might" be enough to show up on a test. Luckily I don't have to be concerned about testing. I haven't tried the limited spectrum variety. I would but you lose about 5-7 of the other CBD's also and many of those are supposedly good for what I'm taking it for.

Was out camping this weekend with no service since 6pm Friday. I first saw this tweet and thought what the heck...and just now discovering why. That is awesome what the Angels did, and class move by mariners https://twitter.com/mariners/status/1149910080931766272?s=21

Husqvarna or Stihl?

From my experiences (somewhat vast):
Trimmers: Husky, by a small margin...the 324L is the best trimmer I've ever used, and it's fairly lightweight. The trimmer head might be what separates the two (though you could put Husky's head on a Stihl).
Backpack Blowers: Husky, easily. The 580 beats the hell out of any Stihl blower I've used.
Chainsaws: Stihl. I've just had better luck with them overall. Their pole saw is twice as good as anything Husky offers.... Though, my favorite saw I've ever owned is a Husky (one that's light enough to hold with one hand).
Hedge trimmers: Stihl. They make Husky's versions look like a child's toy.

Anybody make it down to OKC? Would it be worth the trip (4 hr drive) for a family of 5? Enough to do in Bricktown?

We enjoyed our trip there but I really don't know what all there is to do. We were there for a softball tourney and the women's college world series in about 2013. Lots of good places to eat and the OKC Memorial is a must see. Drove through Moore right after the F5 had hit there, that was brutal. Went to Norman to see their stadium, not exciting but there was a really good dive BBQ place there. Probably worthwhile if it's only a 4 hour trip. Not sure I'd go during tornado season though...seriously. Their weather is frikken dangerous.
-
@JJ Husker Ha. Yeah, we live about 30 miles NW of the Oklahoma border, so the weather in the area is no stranger to me.... Right now, the cheapest tickets I can find on StubHub are $45 a piece. Hope they drop.
-
Keep Badger's Assistant Coach, Howard Moore, and his family in your thoughts.... Just crushing.

I'm ready for the Christmas season.

If you're like me, and have never seen a single one of these superhero (?) movies, this seemed like a nice recap:

Oh man, @Red Five, all I can think about now is:
Have you been livin' in a cardboard box, lady?
- No, I'm from Utah.
- Oh, I'm sorry.

I've sang the phrase "I've got horses in the back" no less than 50 times today.... And I don't even like the song. My 12 year old daughter is to blame.
