Really incredible stuff from UNMC.6 points

This could happen. But people love to say this and it only happens sometimes- like Wandale. Not saying he won't reopen his commitment. Or A&M could potentially pile up on corners making him want to leave. However, his mom loves the SEC and his coach loves A&M. He is gone so it is time to start recruiting corners who want to be here instead of trying to convince those who won't come here. Frost wants kids who want to be here. This guy doesn't want to come so we will most likely look for others- unless something pops up. Also, we are not going to get loads of elite talent until we start winning. Yes, we can get a good 8-10 4 *kids but to get 15+ 4 star guys we need to win. Simple as that. We have plenty of time and they have gotten many players in a short amount of time before. I think this year we will get more guys committed who are on campus for games.4 points

This is a tough call in my mind. 1. Stay at NU and maybe never really play BUT always be a Husker which as we know carries crazy weight in this state. Hooked up with good jobs, radio gigs, possible job at NU or 2. Transfer and end up at a bit of a smaller school but play a ton. I had a friend that I met freshmen year at NU...walked on...never really played except on some extra points in blowouts...HATED IT by the end...I mean HATED IT...but guess what he always brought up on his resumes and at interviews...3 points

It's crazy that there is a 5 star WR prospect in-state. I know many media pundits have stated that they believe Watts is the best player in Nebraska, but I don't believe so. Betts does not have a QB worth a lick throwing to him. If he just had a decent to 1AA Qb caliber throwing to him, he would be a top 20 player in the country, highest to come out of the state, and highest Nebraska has ever signed in the modern era. Don't mind me, just making Kool-Aid statements today.3 points

My least favorite thing about following recruiting is airing out a kid's academic situation. I guess it comes with the territory but it's disturbing to me to see strangers discussing the grades of a high school student just to make sure he can qualify to play football. No one really knows the situation and the ones who do shouldn't be sharing it anyway.2 points

So far this summer, I've helped teach my oldest learn how to go potty, helped her learn shapes and colors, and worked on learning how to count to 20. However, my greatest achievement might be getting her to clap in rhythm to "There Is No Place Like Nebraska".2 points

I didn't want to start a whole new thread but this is a great read on Coach Verduzco and his QB teaching methods The scientific method of Mario Verduzco, Nebraska quarterbacks coach By Bruce Feldman 4h ago 162 points

Do you think we would’ve beaten Purdue in late November? I do. Also, we had momentum in the 4th quarter. I think we would’ve lost regardless but I recall some really questionable penalties when we had that momentum. I think that’s the only game where I was mad about penalties.2 points

Remember when Tommy was hurt, but he toughed it out and gave Mike Riley a win over Oregon, his first win in years? Tommy burst through the line (aided by a Janovich block) and scampered to the end zone with his bum leg. Sealed the victory. Hell of a play, hell of a guy, hell of a win. You don't have to love Mike Riley to be happy for that win. And Tommy gutted that thing out, ganked up and all he was. That's a great guy. Great game. Fun day. I'll always remember that about him. Good times.1 point

I was just curious. This is basically my only source I’ve seen on it since I can’t vote in the primary. I think a) a lot of people are irritated with all politicians and politics and b) a lot of the people replying tend to vote for Republicans and are trying to be swayed to not vote for an Independent but aren’t being impressed.1 point

I'm just saying the B1G needs to get on an even playing field. I look at it like Poker where you some teams have more chips and are more likely to win. By limiting oversigning you put yourself at a disadvantage. I'd be all for NU to the SEC, the SEC wants to win and doesn't hide it. The B1G is somehow too honorable to go the full extent the rules allow. I don't think football is at as much of a disadvantage as baseball, anyone know why the baseball teams are severely limited in oversigning. Having teams from much smaller conferences have more baseball success shouldn't happen, but with the limits on over signing the conference can only hope for a lucky run every few decades like what we saw from MI this year.1 point

Rankings get bumped up with the more commits you have. We have the 3rd best avg right now. We will probably finish at 4th overall at the end of the year, 3rd if the season goes well.1 point

They HOL guys have been saying for awhile that they think he'll be on campus next month. They didn't say for sure what his status with the team would be but if he was greyshirting I wouldn't think he'd be here until January. It's possible he could be a part-time student for the first semester then start full time in January but he couldn't be with the team in that case.1 point

I was listening to a Husker podcast and they briefly spoke about John Bivens and how he’s greyshirting. i don’t remember this. Is this true?1 point

Two years ago we lost to Minnesota 54-21. I had us losing them last year and we ended up being 28-0 at one point. Each game is independent of every other game.1 point

Then goes on to defend them and Trump by literally saying it’s silly and stupid to point out they’re mean, and for the record, referring to torture as “mean” is bad enough by itself to not even need the full quote above. He may have had other intentions or was trying to make things sound better but I think he accidentally said exactly what he feels in the quoted part. His intentions at all turns are to defend Trump, who for the most part is indefensible. Him saying NK is indefensible means nothing. People always talk this way when they’re about to say something stupid. “I have Black friends but,” “North Korea is evil but.” Also, I didn’t comment on the tweeted headline nor was it what caught my attention.1 point

Because Landlord wasn’t around during that time and wants to have a high horse with NU being in the Big Ten.1 point

Taking the partial qualifiers was something the Big 8 was in full support of, until they went to the Big 12. That’s when Texas and the other SWC schools persuaded that NU had a huge advantage over the rest of the Big 8 schools, so they changed the rules. It wasn’t a big deal then, it shouldn’t be a big deal now. Yes, it would be great if kids get full academic qualification right out of high school, but I am more proud of the kids who were partial qualifiers, but then turned out to be great student-athletes during their time in college.1 point

Day wants to run a pro-style offense and get away from Meyer's running-QB system, although he may need to run Justin Fields more than he would like until such time that he has his QB's in the program, but that will take at least two years.1 point
