I am both a veteran of a foreign war and someone who thinks Trump is a poor leader. This means most flag wavers will and do immediately dismiss my opinions and declare me RINO. I s#!t on your purity tests, dorks. That is all.4 points

I feel like there is probably a thread on here somewhere that would be nearly identical to this one if you take all the posts promoting Smothers, change the name to McCaffrey and subtract a year from the date.3 points

1) thank you for your service. Very much appreciated. 2) Purity tests are stupid. People should figure out what issues are most important to them and vote according to that regardless of what anyone else thinks.2 points

Luke wanted to be able to come in and compete at the QB position, and not be immediately moved to WR or another position for an "athlete". I think other schools were recruiting him as an athlete, without the promise to try him at QB first. Frost has given Luke 2 years and the opportunity to take the QB1 job. Frost gave him 2 games as the starter to win that job. I don't think Luke will be able to beat out Adrian for QB1 in 2021, and will be challenged to keep the #2 job ahead of Smothers.2 points

Looking back at the McCaffrey recruiting thread, it seems like 90% on board felt he was an athlete rather than a QB. So many mentions of lack of arm strength.....TD/int ratio. If I had a nickle for everything time someone in that thread suggested WR.......2 points

The last sentence of the article was spot on. The rest of the article, not so much. It seems to paint Trump as the victim, which is complete BS. It's a narrative that is pretty much what I would expect, though, from a cultural diversity-deficient rural Nebraska community.2 points

Injuries and illness severely limited Sevion Morrison. I think the coaches were counting on him contributing a lot this year. I agree the RB recruiting is a concern. Those guys shouldn’t have to be “developed” too much, as the good ones should be plug and play type guys.2 points

Luke played pretty much like Adrian against Northwestern. Moved the ball well between the 20s, and then bogged down and had an INT in the red zone. Luke didn’t lead a come back victory. Against Penn State, he ran the ball well, was aided by a great play call, blocking, and run for a long TD pop pass to Betts, along with a score by the D to take a big lead. The offense sputtered in the 2nd half, and the D made enough stops to get the win. Against Illinois, they let Luke run, but Luke couldn’t hit wide open receivers in their cover-2 zone defense. These were basic throws he was missing. Along with coming in against Minnesota and throwing another interception which led to a Gopher TD, Luke showed he has a LONG ways to go as a passer. His arm strength is lacking, he doesn’t make great decisions, and he is inaccurate. Those aren’t good qualities for a QB.2 points

Knowing what we know about the support being given by his employer, I'd call this a solid strategic choice. Trump had no desire, by his own words, to cast a shadow of seriousness on to the COVID pandemic. He hoped and tried to minimalize it. Fauci looks like he was not only taking science into account, but also the dumbasses that cling to the words of Trump like gospel.1 point

Fauci isn't orange. And sometimes you have to grind up the medicine and mix it with pudding in order to make your patient take his medicine when your patient is a moron.1 point

1. Thank you for your service. 2. If I were a VFW, I think I'd even have less respect for Trump than I currently have. Which is pretty low...1 point

I hope Frost learned like every top school already does. Go after the best available QB every year. If he is the best and wins the job great. Some people on this board are worried about kids transferring. Well if that played into Scott’s thought process look where it left us. Adrian not as good as he hoped, Luke not ready to play probably never will be, smothers? Who knows if he is the real deal or not. Some think his HS film suggests he needs work. Haarberg is another project. I am confused what we are doing with our qb targets1 point

I don’t watch “the news”. I watched Trump and his Twitter account. I can appreciate an a$$h@!e being called an a$$h@!e. If main stream media reported Trump being an a$$h@!e, I guess I’d be just as surprised at an expose of ice cream being a popular dessert dish in the American diet...1 point

Hopefully Morrison gets routine check ups on his heart. Dont need anyone having a Keyontae Johnson situation1 point

I tried water, ice, soda and even giving it away. Nothing saved it for me. I've gotten more used to peat, but I still prefer a pure flavor profile not overshadowed by liquid smoke.1 point

Yeah I think if Duke had done more replications with their study they would have provided some really good information. It's definitely not useless but not totally definitive either. Hopefully they are continuing the study.1 point

Another example of an odd year this year. Morrison probably suffers a minor injury which sets him back a week or two. Then he gets COVID and who knows how much that affected him. Then he gets injured again, after his body could have been in a weakened state due to the effects of COVID. I think we should see how he does in the following years before questioning his durability. He didn’t show any issues in high school.1 point

Cool behind the scenes video on Grogu. Thank goodness they used actual animatronics with him and didn't try to do it with CGI. I'm sure it makes it a lot easier for the actors to interact with him as well. Grogu | Behind The Scenes History - YouTube1 point

After two buyouts like Bo has received I think I would transition to a life of fishing and relaxing on a beach on a tropical island1 point

I think that is obvious to anyone watching, and I'm sure Frost knows this in his own head. The only one doing a disservice to Luke is Luke by wanting to remain a QB, unless Frost actually believes he can be a QB also. My suspicion is Frost is just trying to keep him on the team and find the right time to broach a position move.1 point

The attention given to "advanced" stats astounds me given the persistent problems within the program right now. We had 4 turnovers, 9 penalties, and permitted Rutgers to convert a fake punt and kick return for a touchdown courtesy of our special teams. This game should have been a rout as it was a complete mismatch. Yet, our ineptitude made us sweat the result late in the game. Both the Purdue and Rutgers games best illustrated why we are a bottom tier team right now. We won both (against lesser competition), but in neither instance was the game in hand due to our failures. The "problem" stats are the only ones that count right now so let's focus on fixing these.1 point

Interesting, it is almost like Dabo and Saban want to double their conference's money and play teams they already beat easily.1 point

Do I want Riley? Yes Do I think we land him? No. Will we be fine with Fidone and Carnie? Yes1 point

I agree to some extent. But, if record was the primary factor, we wouldnt have landed the young freshmen or this years top 20 class. He is selling a vision.....that has to come first, then record will take care of itself. He is still at least 1 or 2 recruiting classes away. Sell vision, but even that point will run dry after 2021 season.1 point

I recommend trying Aberlour. I find it smoother than Glenlivet. Now that's a reccomendation I'll take Couple other things that veteran scotch drinkers have taught me is to not use ice cubes (cold dulls your sense of taste) and to put a "thimbleful" of water in your scotch to "open it up". I thought the splash of water idea was ridiculous until I tried it. I don't know how to describe how it "opens up" but it does make a difference.1 point
