Rutgers would like the thank Maryland for dominating the CFB news cycle yesterday so that this story was buried

Oregon St won at Colorado 41-34 in OT. Beavs came back from 31-3 deficit in the 2nd half.

Saw the Gopher Football equipment truck on I-80 about 15 miles from Lincoln at 8:15 this morning. Using my UNL math, that means it would have left Minneapolis at ~2AM.

Taking the kids (10, 7) to the zoo in Omaha on Friday before heading to the game on Saturday. First time I have been to Henry Doorly zoo in 10+ years. Anyone got and zoo tips/must see/etc?

Sorry- I just noticed you said Friday. I thought that was a lot for one day. lol
The zoo is so big that it might be kind of hard to sustain the kiddos attention to see the whole thing-but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. We normally end with an Imax movie-entertaining and restful. I haven't been since summer 2017, but the aquarium is by far our favorite as well as the giraffe nursery. Don't know if they continually have babies there. And if you can believe, we love the petting zoo. Kind of weird since our kids are far from young, but on our last trip the baby goats were play fighting and it was adorable.

I just want to say that its amazing that we are living in a time where you can watch basically any sporting event via a hand held personal computer that is also a phone and camera.
Kid has soccer games at 8, noon, and 2, so I should be able to catch parts of the game, but probably not the end...

So is this rock bottom?

Urban needs to stop issuing statements, close his mouth, and go away. Every time he talks he makes himself, his wife, and the OSU powers that be look worse.

Nebraska has the longest current losing streak in FBS. Let that sink in...
-
@Red FiveI do believe that is called "Point, Set and Match"

Boise had 400 yards rushing yesterday...
And 418 yards passing.
Randy Edsall’s 2nd stint at UConn not going well.

This is what Riley has done to Nebraska fans: It seems that there is a tangible amount of fans that think we will need a 12th game against a cupcake to get bowl eligibility. Seriously?
-
Starting a true freshman QB who hasn't been hit in live game action since 2016, 51 new scholarship players in the past year, completely new coaching staff, routines and terminology, combined with our road schedule, is a decent reason for caution.
If this team wins 7 of our remaining 11 games, it'll be super impressive.
-
They might be right about needing another cupcake to go bowling. We are rebuilding and the bowl prep would be great going into next year. That's the reality of the situation Riley and the team put us in. Some players have mentioned championship as a goal for this year which shouldn't mean much in terms of swaying fan expectations. We need to see a lot of improvement on field before developing a championship mindset.

Hit a new step of parenting today... My oldest has reached the age where he "needs" the $100 shoes instead of the $40 ones.

I found this guide for fitting shoes that looks helpful. Getting the right shoes (regardless of price) could help prevent knee problems. http://www.nwhealth.org/pubs/N-107.pdf

How many countries have you been to? And I go by the FIFA definition of countries (so most territories count as countries).

Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom and China. So I guess it's only 19 now that I write them out. I was pretty close to Vietnam last week. Guess should have gone there. lol

Despite the whole UT thing, Austin, Texas is a great place to visit.

World Cup 2026!

@sho the World Cup is expanding to 48 teams (from 32) in 2026, so it won't have a huge impact on teams qualifying if all 3 nations (US, Mexico, and Canada) are given bids to the tournament.
-
@ColoradoHusk @schriznoederThat definitely makes it easier to give 3 host nations auto bids. Should help other lower teams in CONCACAF get a shot at making it now too.
-
So Michigan has an Amazon documentary out about their 2017 season and gets ESPN to send a reporter to cover their spring trip to France. Can you imagine the coverage they would get if they would actually finish higher than 3rd in the East?

It's April 15th and we are supposed to get 9"-15" of snow. FML

Snow sucks. Bring on summer.

@Comfortably Numb last week the day before it snowed we hit 68. What a kick in the nuts to drive home from work the next day in a snowpack.

FYI - The b-ball game is streaming on the Fox Sports Go App. So if you have a participating cable provider, you can watch in on that while you have to "work" this afternoon.

Good thing about having a historically crappy basketball program is that we are not caught up in this paying players scandal, as it seems every blue blood program is in the latest yahoo story.

Guys--this is the FBI looking into this s**t, not the NCAA. Last time I checked PMITA prison isn't something the NCAA can hand down as punishment, and people are already singing to them. This is gonna get big, it's gonna take big names (like Izzo) down, and we're probably gonna see a lot of the top tier talent immediately up and leave NCAA Basketball overnight for the the pros.
The upside to all this is that since our guys weren't projected to be top-tier NBA talent just yet, none of them have been on the dole. This means when Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, and/or Purdue lose their talent, we'll be projected to be one of the top teams in the B1G next season!
-
@VectorVictor, I know the FBI is investigating but the NCAA will react to it and deal with the schools listed in the report. Judging the list of schools and names involved, the NCAA won't do much.
Why are you lumping in Ohio State, Michigan, and Purdue in this. I haven't seen any of those schools or coaches implicated. If this were football, I would be a little more worried for schools like OSU and Michigan.

So my work Net Nanny blocked Huskerboard today. The reason is because "website has swimsuit/lingerie content".
