How do people on here get so many plus one's in a day? I can't figure it out.

@funhusker it isn’t just about looks—it’s also about quality of service. See below when I worked a convention some time ago.

So if they keep college football going next season, our sellout streak is in big trouble. Bigger problems in the world right now, but just a thought.

That's kind of where I'm at, Mav. I almost expect there not to be any fans for most (if not all) of 2020, but I'd be surprised if the season didn't go forward, on time even. I think you'll see testing expanded, and used on players and staff before games. It's also possible that there is a medicine out there that could successfully be used off label while we wait on a vaccine.... Also read this morning that the NBA has a 25 day plan to come back.... At some point, the economy begins to matter, and college football is essential to most athletic department budgets. Without it, prepare to see a lot of schools, cut a lot of programs.
-
@Mavric and, what have we had to do to get to the peak? We have shut everything down and preached social distancing. If you all of a sudden open everything up, how does the virus continue to be contained?
-
So how long do you think Frost stays here ?
-
Not to be a buzz kill at all, but the walkon numbers this year compared to the last 5 years really isnt shockingly different. I dont understand why people are calling it a resurgance. Maybe Im missing something...

I think having a strong walk-on program is a good thing but I don't understand the preoccupation with it. In the current environment and situation this program is in I would think that is the least of our worries. It was great to have those 4th stringers help push the guys ahead of them and to have the few grow into contributors but of much more concern right now is our 1st and 2nd string and recruiting for the future. Walk-ons aren't near as crucial to winning anymore imo. I hope half of what SF has said about it is just to placate some old timers.

What if we don't win a game this year?

I hope I haven't been upsetting people too much on the politics board. I really don't want to get banned so if I go too far tell me.

FWIW I'll be the first to admit I haven't always been the best version of myself over there (not saying that's the case for you).
Logical, well thought out, and sourced discourse is always good. Drive by potshots that muddy the conversation add nothing to the threads. Opposing views backed with facts, logic, stats etc only help strengthen arguments.

I don't care what anybody says. This is a rivalry. More than Iowa dare I say.

@huKSer no, not at least...at most...and it was an unearned and undeserved half of a natty

@ZRod We literally did own them, including Boulder
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebraska_Territory
When gold was discovered in Colorado we didn't want that land part of Nebraska due to the type of people it would attract. It explains a lot.
-
A new territory was formed from land that other territories did not want thus constraining all the gold digging jackholes in 1 place. They called it Colorado https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Territory

Just looked on a Hawkeye board for entertainment. They are scared of us.

@RedNebraskan Post a link? I mostly see delusion so far. Not that they'll win the game (that's not delusional) but that Nebraska is some s#!tty bottom feeder B1G team. It's like they're screaming yelling "I can't hear you" and pretending Mike Riley is still our coach.
QuoteThey’re still Nebby & always will be. Let’s not get too worried.
How dumb can you get?
-
So what is the biggest difference between Duval and Phillips? Sipple was saying the other day that there really isn't much difference, but I don't buy that.

@RedNebraskan Riley probably didn't want to mess with too many things at his age and stage in his career, and he probably managed the players like that at Oregon State and let the players be accountable to themselves. In some years, that probably worked great. In some years, it probably worked poorly. That's how you get to be a career .500 coach.
-
So Colorado really plays this up as a rivalry huh? Just read an article about their "hatred" for Nebraska.
-
Just watched Bill McCartney's presser on this weeks game. He seems like a pretty decent guy who just happens to hate Nebraska.
-
The guy who attacked Bret Hart at last night's Hall of Fame was from Nebraska

Answer me this: UF pursues Frost, then backs off Frost and goes after Kelly. A clear sign that Nebraska made voices heard to SF?

Did anyone else read this this morning? http://www.wowt.com/content/sports/Scott-Frost-is-Candidate-for-Florida-Head-Coach-457612353.html
It’s the first official announcement I’ve read.

Matt Lauer: COME ON MAANN!

@teachercd Nah, if anything it will give her article that much more legitimacy and will lay the groundwork with the public as to why the firing was justified.
Though to be honest, the timing is rather suspect, especially with the supposed derision between the Today Show staff and Megyn Kelly's show staff.
-
@VectorVictor, there's always going to exist an argument that "the timing is suspect". Perhaps it's time to realize that it is not. These things almost always seem to come out years later. And at some point, given the current climate, the answer to "why now?" should be "well, obviously, now."

I am so excited for Saturday, it really feels like Christmas. Better, actually.
-
So 247's 22 ranking for us is more accurate than rival's 18 ranking?
-
How do you change your name on here?
-
When and where do the Spring game tickets go on sale? How much are they usually?

Is Frost going to be there to accept the award on espn tonight?

Yes! He was just on. I loved it that he wore UCF pin in one side and the red N on the other. (I also loved it that Scott shut down Chris Fowler when Fowler tried to get Scott to talk about how hard it was for him to leave UCF for Nebraska. Scott said something to the effect that this night was about those amazing guys-that amazing team. Good for you Scott!)

My God this Herm Edwards presser is comedy gold.

Jokes about Herm aside, Arizona State looks to be trying a very similar strategy that Eichorst had at Nebraska and the hire of Riley. They are approaching it like the NFL, with head coach in a CEO role, and having duties doled out to the assistant coaches appropriately. It didn't work in Lincoln, it will be interesting ASU can make it work. I also saw that they basically paid $12 million to fire their old coach and bring in Edwards, while maintaining the entire assistant coaching staff. So odd.

Dabo Swinney totally made a babyface turn for me. Really likeable, and I hope he wins the natty.

As of right now, who is our 3 most important recruits?

Are there any single women on this board? Because this would be the best possible place to meet my future wife! Lol

ESPN just said Next: Nebraska Vs Utah. Wow.
