I was watching some 90s Husker games on YouTube and I really miss the bigger shoulder pads. They just made players look more intimidating, especially with the jerseys that were not skin tight. I understand the reasons for smaller pads and tight fitting jerseys, but Mackovicka looked pretty scary running through the line with big pads (and the neck role). Lineman look funny to me with the huge bodies and teeny little shoulder pads.3 points

Not surprising since we got rid of the FB position. I wish him good luck wherever he goes.3 points

There's making mistakes, then there's upwards of 30 criminal charges, and a vast amount of space between those two things.3 points

QMany, 34th Kansas Mid-Amateur Team Champion! Leaderboard The conditions were insane. And the field was stout: former D1 and D2 standouts, former Kansas Mid-Am Team Champions, former Mid-Am Players of the Year, former Kansas Amateur champion, recent USGA Am and Mid-Am Qualifiers, etc. I'm humbled to call myself a KGA Champion for the first time and now be invited to the Champions Dinner! 2 Huskers!3 points

Doesn't sound like he will be here until fall. Hopefully he makes it and will redshirt to work on his body/footwork/grades. Has the frame to be a good OT for us3 points

Do you not get it? These players need to be PERFECT...because of role modeling and stuff...and because of other stuff I guess.3 points

it does look a bit like 4 herbie huskers getting together to talk about last season3 points

Replacing is the wrong word. They will continue to take over more and more jobs that humans currently occupy, but we just invent new jobs all the time. 10 years ago there were no jobs in app development, managing social media, decentralized transpo services (Uber, Lyft), big data analytics, youtube content creation, drone operation, podcast hosting, SEO analytics, cloud architecture, and a million other things. 10 years from now there will be just as many jobs as there ever have been if not more, we just don't know what they'll be in yet.3 points

I live in Colorado, and that's a whole lot of BS. The linked article is an opinion piece that claims a lot of numbers but has not a single source for those numbers cited or linked.2 points

The vertical threat wasn't being disrespected....it's just not hard to cover when you only release 2 receivers, the routes take 25 seconds to develop, and the 8 man protection scheme can't block 4 rushers. To be fair, 2 of the 8 were slot receivers that motioned back towards the formation.2 points

Can't blame the kid for leaving. He was a man w/o a position. But at least the Ben Miles era brought us Les calling the Northern Illinois game and making it somewhat entertaining to watch, with his blatant cheering for Nebraska (and his audible groans).2 points

Let's see teams disrespect our vertical threat ability now.2 points

"You can excel on special teams" only goes so far. I really feel badly for guys like him that get caught in these types of situations and strongly hope he finds a place that can use his talents.2 points

Imagine the Republican outrage if this was Obama. I had to fudge it a little because, of course, Barack Obama wasn't under anything like the kind of investigation(s) Trump is under.2 points

I'm a fan of the shoes. If they do emojis maybe nebraksa can get black cleats with white skull ans crossbones2 points
-
I don't think these shoes have been designed specifically for Nebraska, so maybe people should chill the eff out. I am pretty sure these shoes are part of Adidas new line of cleats which allow different emojis to be put on the cleats as the pattern. Since NU is an Adidas school, NU got some samples of them for the athletes.2 points

This thread seems like it's going to be one of those that gets dug up and responded with, "See, I told you so", after all is said and done, no matter which side of the argument you're on.2 points

I’d like it if all Husker football players had a 4.0 in pre-med or engineering. They must all be 6’ tall too, so I can tell my son that that’s what happens when you eat all your vegetables. You probably have a parenting problem if you can’t teach your kid not to steal.2 points

That is the most bogus statement I have ever read. Bo tried his damndest to win here. He gave seven years, if you don't think he is a "HUSKER" then you surely aren't either.2 points
