  1. Has already met all NCAA eligibility requirements. Kearney Catholic isn't currently set up to let students graduate early but they are working on him to make the necessary changes for him to be an early enrollee.

  2. Not that far away.... We aren't going to keep up getting a commit every 10 days.

  5. It may not be a good look, but it's hard for a young man not to respond publicly when people are trashing your work ethic, skill, and loyalty publicly. Even then I think these guys have been pretty diplomatic.

  8. The problem with masks is when you put one on to make a quick trip to the convenience store and remember when you get into the car you haven’t brushed your teeth yet and you get a whiff of your own breath.

  9. 247 shows Fisher and Chins as the recruiters - I'm not sure where they get that info, but I'd assume DB if it's the case.

  10. There is a difference in "no excuse" and valid excuse....I think we are still a year or two away from really seeing what NU has (2021/2022). Starting a brand new DL, no JD, seems like only Wan'dale returns with more than one catch, ILB, another new coordinator etc.....Throw in a murderers row our last 5 games (not like the first 7 have a gimme) and there are A TON of valid reasons we might struggle next year. Athleticism, culture, not his guys etc shouldn't even been mentioned. The vast majority of guys getting snaps should be guys recruited for the system or are in year3 with Frost and Co. To the former players speaking out, I can't imagine them agreeing that they performed poorly, were in their natural position etc....No one wants to admit they failed to meet expectations...Maybe the staff overlooked them. Bottom line, that had to be a lot of drama and he said/she said BS in the locker room. Not good for the team, the staff or the individual players impacted....

  15. With eight [8] teams in the B1G ahead of us in four * ranked players ... I'd love to see this ... call it "necessary thinking"! Two [2] isn't nearly on pace. At present, we have Northwestern, Iowa, Minny, Iowa and Wisky all ahead of us ... just on our side of the conference. OSU, Mich and Penn State are way out in front.

  16. Completely dodged a question about specifically what he has learned and why he wasn't aware after mentioning learning and being more aware multiple times, lol. Again I hate Iowa, but he looks super out of touch. Says he didn't apologize and "thinks players know how he feels," which is presumably unapologetic.

  17. What a mess, but a much needed one. Keep in mind that a lot of these cities let the looting at the beginning happen. They didn't even try to stop it, and then they brought in the militarized police on the protestors, not the looters.

  18. It's too bad the Spielman is leaving, but Williams was a reach by Riley as his offer list was garbage and McQuitty's was better but not great. They are gone and its time to move on!

  20. This is gonna get worse I think. I think we’re at the edge of a cliff right now (in general, not just the stock market) especially since the GOP thinks we don’t need another stimulus package or that there isn’t enough evidence for one yet. They’re being reactionary instead of preventative.

  21. While I remember being taught about stuff like Jim Crow and and the Trail of Tears as a kid I wonder if stuff like that should be taught again in HS. On another note I grew up like an hour drive from 2 different reservations. Would’ve been really cool and a great learning experience to take a field trip there and watch a pow wow or something. Maybe kids can’t really appreciate the culture behind it but I thought NA culture (specifically pacific NW) was really cool when I was younger. As far as Columbus goes its weird how much misinformation is spread about him. Things like that he was sailing to India which is why the indigenous people got the name ‘indians’. He was actually sailing to Japan. He was arrested and jailed for his mistreatment of Spanish colonists and the native Taino people he became governor of in the encomiendo system. The Spanish crown sent an investigator over and the report of his savage tyranny was found in 2006. Bartolome de Las Casas was a priest who transcribed Columbus’ diary which is where most of our information on him comes from. Las Casas ended up forfeiting his own encomienda and advocated for the rights of the native people. He documented most accounts of the atrocities that took place as the Spanish colonized the Americas. Although, in his fight for rights for the natives he proposed they bring in African slaves. It’s debated whether he had any affect on the creation of the trans Atlantic slave trade or not. Sorry I went so off topic.

  28. It's hard to blame them. I agree, but if you feel like people are throwing out lies or half truths on twitter it's hard not to reply back. At least this wasn't a fan directly tweeting at them, but calling Williams and McQuitty underachievers clearly struck a nerve. And from a production standpoint, it's not wrong. But if they feel like they worked hard enough and were not given the chance to achieve, I can understand taking that personally. We can speculate all we want, but when it starts insulting things like their work ethic I don't really have a problem with them responding.

  29. I must be insane then. I don't expect any player who leaves to come out and say "I wasn't willing to do all that the staff wanted me to do". And I'm not going to miss any player(s), no matter their potential or how good they are, if they don't want to do what the coaches want or if they just don't want to be here. Insane I tells ya....plumb outta my mind.

  30. Looks like JD was the last one to hear about the "half-assed mutiny" rumor. That tends to be how rumors work. Also I think you might be insane if you don't think we'll miss one of the most productive WRs in school history. Reminds me of that "Stanley wasn't actually that good, 1,000-yard receivers will be a dime-a-dozen under Frost" narrative, heh. Get outta here.
