  1. I mean, someone in the media recorded him, secretly, held on to that recording and then dumped it to the public. That is pretty much media being out to get him. Ha And Dirk wrote that creepy article about Bo having a nervous tick.

  2. Bo's obsession that the media was out to get him is just... I'm glad he's gone. He's got a DC's mentality but just can't do the off-field things needed by a HC today.

  7. My brother-in-law's cousin (unvaccinated) died in Texas yesterday from complications due to COVID and she was unable to get into an ICU bed because they were full. Unrelated to her death, I ran into a college friend of mine yesterday. He's in his last year of residency in Omaha and he's in the pulmonary/ICU rotation. He's averaging about 80 hours per week right now and the hospital has removed hour limitations so that they can work as long as needed. He's spending a good chunk of his time still fighting with families who don't believe their loved one has COVID (fighting as in... he has to call the family to give them status updates and the families are insolent and verbally abusive). Things obviously aren't as bad in Omaha as they are other places, but most medical professionals are mentally and physically exhausted... and the solution to the problem is out there. Too many people just refuse to buy into it.

  8. Wait... weren't you on here crying about how we were never going to leave and how there would always be an excuse for staying? And now when we beat it in haste like you wanted you're here crying about the ramifications? Can't make this up. Still waiting for that imminent Syrian invasion btw.

  9. Starting to piece together why teach has such a huge problem with firefighters. This upends my theory that a fireman stole his girl.

  10. Here is what I have learned, I thought Solich should have been fired, I was wrong I was excited about Callahan, I was wrong I thought Bo should have been fired, I was wrong I was excited about Riley, I was wrong I thought Frost was the savior, I appear to be wrong (that can still change) I am probably an average, stupid, hopeful, still want to see greatness again, Husker Fan. I just want the season to start so we can complain/celebrate something different.

  11. Thank you for proving my earlier point about going out of your way to avoid giving him any credit. Definitely highlight the misses he had and completely ignore that his last full class (2014) had six NFL players in it.

  14. The Center has two jobs. One is to block, the other is to SNAP THE BALL PROPERLY, ESPECIALLY IN A SHOTGUN OR PISTOL FORMATION! How can a QB, any QB, read the schematically understood, unblocked defender whilst simultaneously exerting unnecessary motion to FIND AND CATCH THE SNAP? I would think such an accomplished, decorated, clearly superior in every quantifiable metric coach/man would understand the dual role of the Center position on the offensive line. Edit: The Center has 3 jobs, usually. That position makes the line calls for the other offensive linemen.

  15. You are correct that he didn't mention electoral concerns in the post. But others elsewhere certainly have. But @Frott Scostcertainly means anti Vax folks can "f@$k off..and die". Probably not the same stance libs had back in March/April of last year, because it was liberal States and cities. But now that it is the deep red South its "if they die, they die"

  23. this is not a commentary on anything that has happened since Bo got fired. Separate issues to me. But this interview confirmed everything I didn’t like about Bo and why I think he sucks at being in charge of things in general. Glad he’ll never come back.

  27. I don't follow recruiting so I am unsure as to who he actually recruited or the class rankings I do know Cally had 2 losing and 2 winning seasons. Bo had 7 winning seasons. So if Bo did better because of "Cally's recruits" how'd he still win at the rate he did at the latter part of his tenure? And why did Cally not win more.... I'm guessing that he was able to better develop the kids than Cally was. I know Ruud commented that BO transformed his game. SUH? beast mode. Converted Baker to DL.....Cody Glen to LB.....SJB to CB....Against OSU......Bo could develop talent IMHO. As could his staff....Helu, Rex, AA, etc... IMHO, recruiting is great, BUT Cally recruited well and we didn't see the results on the field. Development, especially at NU is key. We will never pull in top 5 classes, multiple 5* kids etc....BUT if we can develop (IMHO like Bo) that is a huge step in the right direction.

  28. Was Bo's recruiting really bad? I am trying to think of guys he brought in or his staff, I suck at this so correct me if I am wrong. Lavonte David: Possibly a top 3 Husker LBer of all time? Randy G: I still think the biggest freak I have ever seen at that position in a Husker uniform Gomes? Not sure if he was a Pelini recruit Haag? Dennard? Asante: Dude was good I can't remember any WR's except Morgan TEs? I don't know at all

  33. I understand. But that's why there is a "freak out". The hospitals are running at capacity due to normal requirements. Added pressure can make things very difficult if not impossible to run at normal operating procedures. Nursing shortage, and the impending widening hole in the nursing staff due to required vaccinations, will make things even tougher. The rational discussion about COVID-19 has always been about the healthcare system's ability to care for patients. Only crazy people think "it's not a big deal so quit being chickens" or "wear or mask or we are all dead!!!"

  36. I guess your definition of good is vastly different from mine. Giving up 63 points to ohio state while were ranked int he top 25, isnt good. Getting to the big10 title game in a weak AF year- and then giving up 70 points to a 7-5 wisconsin team, on a national stage, when we had such an easy path to a massive bowl, isn't good. Glad you enjoy only beating the teams we're favored yet ok being a national embarrassment on the big stage when every one is watching!

  38. 2011 - lost to an unranked NW team by 3 as a top 10 team, bad. 2011 - lost by 28 to the 20th ranked Michigan team as the #17 ranked team, bad 2012 - lost to Ohio State by 25. Ranked 9 spots lower, fine. 2012 - lost to an unranked Wisconsin team by 39 points as the 14th ranked team, very bad. 2013 - lost to an unranked Minnesota team by 11 as the 25 ranked team, bad. 2013 - lost by 13 to 14th ranked MSU while unranked, fine. 2013 - lost to unranked Iowa by 21 at home, bad. 2014 - lost on road to 10th ranked MSU by 9, fine. 2014 - lost to 22nd ranked Wisconsin by 35, while giving up an NCAA record for rushing, while being ranked #11. Very bad. 2014 - lost to unranked Minnesota by 4 in Lincoln while ranked #22, bad. 10 losses, 3 I deem as fine. That is what actually was occuring, not your revisionist version of it. He lost a lot of games he shouldn't have. Also, Wisconsin wasn't favored in any of those games.

  39. I do think Wisconsin has the highest ceiling in the West (or we might if Frost's offense actually clicks), but Iowa is probably a safer bet. The defense is great, so if Mertz takes a big step forward, Berger is healthy and they get that Clemson transfer, and one or two of their receivers actually develop some consistency that's a much better offense than Iowa. Both have great defenses, and both have offense that will likely be mediocre - but Wisconsin's could be good.
