@HuskerInLostWages Instead of the XFL, really wish the CFL would make another go at trying to get American teams added/expanding.  The games are fun to watch, and the timing doesn't interfere with anything of import, sports-wise.

Instead of just taking NFL leftovers they should try taking the best players out of high school who don't want to attend college.

This guy had the balls to send a letter to the judge in the case stating that "he is struggling to deal with victim statements and is uncertain in "my ability to be able to face witnesses these next four days, mentally.""

My response would have been to force him to listen to every statement, on loop, for the entirety of his life-long prison sentence, which would hopeful be short and agonizing. 

I dunno Cdog....I feel that this is one guy that needs a long and agonizing prison stay.

All four of those plays in the sbnation link were awful mis-calls.  A couple of them are perplexingly bad.  I mean, this crew is supposed to be among the best in the nation, right?

@dudeguyy except that he's only linked to Sandusky because someone on the stand threw him under the bus. He was investigated multiple times (including prior to his NFL gig) and was found to not be involved at all. 

And Schiano would have been a good hire for Tennessee IMO. Oh well, looks like Tennessee will go from having a coaching vacancy to possibly having a coaching, AD, and possibly School President vacancy. 

Oh and to add insult to injury, multiple sites have suggested that Schiano could successfully sue Tennessee for the $20m that the contract was worth. I know he didn't sign a contract, but a LOI was signed by both parties, which would be enough. 

Is Tennessee still OK with Manning or is their outrage just selective when they didn't get the coach they wanted? 

I'll pass on the 8 team playoff, but it's nice that the CCGs are acting as defacto quarterfinal games, like they probably should. 

8 is a tad much, but I don't get why there are 120+ D1 football schools when not even half of them can make the playoff.

Those are the best trips. My wife had a conference in Orlando for a week. I tagged along and had the days free. It was awesome. Saw a space shuttle being ferried in on top of a 747 purely by accident as I was driving over to the Johnson space center and I could now lead tours at Epcot. We had supper every night in a different country at Epcot. Good week. If it was Vegas, I'd prly still be in debt.

^if he the seasonally miraculously turns around and we finish relatively strong Riley retires. If we limp out the rest of the way, he's fired. Personally I think he's a good coach who played his hand too late. Husker fans think in warp speed.
