Nebraska Athletic Director Bill Moos announced Wednesday that Men’s Golf Head Coach Bill Spangler and Men’s Tennis Head Coach Kerry McDermott will not return following the expiration of their contracts this summer.

Nebraska basketball presser at 1:30. Probably to announce the hiring of a new Asst. Coach, but four different media guys are questioning if that's all that's being announced.

The hubbub is likely because Gates hasn't even been at Florida a month in a similar position. There's a number of articles doing damage prevention out there covering this...and frankly, Gates seems like a good hire for our team and a good step towards achieving competence two years in a row.
That, and I can't imagine Florida is happy with Nebraska at all. In the past six months we:
- Hired their #1 Head Football coaching candidate out from under them (contrary to what they claim)
- Skunked their Women's Volleyball team for our fifth National Championship in the sport
- Hired a good assistant coach away from them after being on the job for around a month (though if there's validity to the stories of Gates not being happy, then some of that is on Florida)
Not too shabby.

Nebraska freshman George Kusche just ran a sub-four minute mile.

Nebraska had seven tackles for loss against Ohio State. The Buckeyes had one TFL against us.
How does that happen in a blowout like that? Weird stat.

I was only half watching near the end, but my impression is that our team is a bit backwards from where I thought it would be. Our line play wasn't awful. Our gap LB decision making leaves a lot to be desired. Our secondary is not pretty.
Similarly on offense, dropped passes and stupid calls have had far more of an impact on the season than our OL imo. Now that could be an artifact of a lot of pressure, but it doesn't feel that way to me.

Nebraska is going to retire Jordan Larson's number at the Minnesota match this year. She'll become the 8th Husker Volleyball player to have her number retired.
Not bad for a kid from small-town Nebraska.

Nebraska residents, have you ever heard of Unadilla Bil?

@Atbone95 you serious right now?

Nebraska's going to retire Sarah Pavan's number at a match this year. She's the best individual player I think we've ever had, so that's fitting.

New AD Bill Moos sent a "hello" email. Nothing to get excited about, just an intro. Here it is for your enjoyment.

@funhusker Ahhh, gotcha.

Oh, hi. Funny story. Nebraska Volleyball just beat our arch-nemesis in a gritty tough match after a pretty damned difficult week because those players are mentally strong as hell.

Oklahoma Joe's in the Haymarket is closing after less than 6 months in business. Tried it once. It was OK, nothing special. Nothing about it made me want to go there instead of Phat Jack's or Lippy's.

Ole Miss really pissed that one away, didn't they?

One of my best bike rides this summer, I did an average of 19mph over a 20-mile ride. The dude currently leading this stage of the Tour de France is going 35mph at the end of a stage 55 miles long.

Pardon my French, but this has been un enfer d'un jour.

I'm pretty sure that's right @TonyStalloni. We toured the facilities a couple months ago and I'm certain they said the stadium and all the practice fields were redone while Riley was there. We didn't actually go outside on those two practice fields but we were in the indoor and outdoor on the main stadium turf and to my untrained eye they all seemed brand new. The outdoor grass field was the only one that looked a little strained but it was March after all.
