Lubick > Joseph... Joseph has only been a P5 coach since 2016 with 1 yr. being a RB coach for Louisiana Tech and the other 3 as LSU's WR coach. Lubick has been a P5 coach for 23 years with 19 years of being a WR coach along with being an OC for 4 years. The only reason Joseph is a hot name in Husker nation right now is because he is a Husker alum on a team that just had one of the best seasons in college football.19 points

when guys say they are quitting their profession to spend more time with their family, the kids are usually in their thirties and living in other cities. i don’t buy the family excuse, but I think the stress is real. As fun as football and free food sounds, even great coaches confess to constant high level anxiety. Underneath Tom Osborne’s laidback monotone was a heart that needed a quadruple bypass.4 points

Because I'm a middle aged family man with a minimal social life, on a Saturday night I Just read the House Impeachment Brief for the Senate. I have recently been getting fatigued with all of this "drama" from Washington regarding the impeachment mainly because I've been paying attention to it much more that I probably should have over the past several months. I even, regrettably, snapped at a dear family member the other day who chose to criticize Pelosi over holding onto the articles. I apologized and swore to myself to keep more of an open mind about other's political beliefs. After all, I'm more of a Centrist than a D or an R. That being said, after reading this tonight, I don't see how any non-Fox News/Rush brainwashed person could possibly conclude that Donald Trump should not be removed from office. This Brief absolutely destroys every single defense Trump and his defenders in congress have alleged while this process has unfolded. The case made for impeachment and removal could not have been made any better, IMO. I would sure hate to be a GOP Senator at the moment. Especially, one due for re-election. Talk about a no-win situation Trump has put them in.... The next couple of weeks will be of monumental historical significance to say the least.4 points

From what I read during that time, it seems Walters was the 2nd choice for head coach at UCF. It took longer with him because he was in the running for that job, and I doubt Frost blamed him at all for wanting it. In fact, Frost probably would have liked that, even if he thought Walters would be good on our staff, because he cared about that program and those players. I don't disagree with anything else you said. I just don't think Frost didn't want Walters back then.3 points

This is an argument that's easy to debunk if you just apply that same logic to other things designed to kill: Neither do the nuclear weapons, its the people using them. Neither do the IEDs, its the people using them.3 points

I never see people who say this also give an idea on how to prevent gun violence and mass shootings and why those things are so much worse in the US than any other developed country.3 points

More than anything it’s affirmation we made the right move with Walters. No one else wants him either3 points

Ya this is a terrible take, QBs have been sliding for 30 years. You usually aren't at full speed and are in the open field where the defense has full run to destroy you, much different then have designed blockers and mismatches.2 points

Spot on sometimes I wonder why husker fans are so easily blinded by their own.Mickey is a great coach but he’s a few years away from being on Matt’s level.2 points

Now that someone has written an article about it maybe @Thanks_Tom RR will believe it. Only content providers on the internet or the OWH know what they're talking about you know?2 points

There's a million things that can be used to hurt people, but very few were created with that in mind. Guns have been crafted and perfected for this purpose for centuries. There is a big difference between an object that can kill and an object created for that purpose. They should be treated as such. All of this said, my opinion on the matter is to be taken with a grain of salt. I am not shy about my dislike of firearms. I'd be happy if they never existed. I love to hunt and fish but I have used a bow for years.2 points

And what we have here is an individual who can’t hold an intellectual conversation. A narcissist who attempts to race bait and a grown man who is a child. You've repeated the same things over and over concerning his play, so here is facts: AMart sophomore season: 1,956 yards, 10 tds, 9 ints, 59.2% comp. rating and 37 less attempts... While playing an entire season with a torn shoulder. 626 rushing yards and 7 TDs. TMart sophomore season: 2089 yards, 13 TDs, 7 ints, 56% comp. rating. 874 yards rushing, 9 TDs. On 44 more rushing attempts. TMart has 2 more games played too. So time to sit down and starting being factual or stop posting. Because as of late, you haven’t had anything beneficial to give anyone on this board.2 points

Almost nobody including me has predicted we will be back to mid 90s level in a couple years. But the constant we will never be because the world has changed and we simply have no chance of being even a 9 win prgram with national respect is just rediculous.1 point

This team definitely has their weaknesses, but they are so much better to watch than what we are use to. Good things are coming in the next few years.1 point

It’s has to have a grandpa knee slapper pun in to be a true Cav tweet. Itd be something like “The tide is really rolling for a speedy machine out of the 251”1 point

There had been a little smoke over the past couple years that Peterson was starting to get burnt out and he was vocal after UW's Rose Bowl loss to Ohio State that he was pretty unhappy. While hardly the straw that broke the camel's back, the transfer portal was the bane of Peterson's existence. He hated it. I just think he was ready to be done. He's made tens of millions, he's in his mid 50s. It was time for him to get out. I do think he'll coach again as either a position coach or maybe a HS coach but I'd be surprised if he ever was a HC for a major college program/NFL again. The only thing that would make me take it back is if the Seahawks came calling. To stay on topic, I'm extremely surprised that Lubick is joining the staff as I figured he'd stay put in Fort Collins. He'll be a good addition to the staff and knows HCSF's schemes inside and out.1 point

Former Husker, strong reputation as a recruiter, ties to the South, success with LSU's receivers, would have provided a different point of view having worked with the new boy-genius Joe Brady.1 point

Part of Trump's America First platform was to take a non-interventionist stance on most military ventures: they're expensive, they don't work, they'll hate us anyway. Trump was always clear that he opposed the Iraq Invasion. The man was sometimes right. Ron and Rand Paul also worked this side of the street. Conservatives might like the gun-blazing American show of force that flag-waving patriotism seems to favor, but they can also be lured over to the "f*ck em, let them fight their own stupid wars on the other side of the world" argument. It was the rationale they tried to rally around when Trump abandoned Syria just a few weeks ago, but it will get tested if Trump has further plans for Iran. I think someone in a Mattis role probably talked the f#&%ing moron down from a knee-jerk escalation. Trump has little perspective beyond how any decision or event reflects on him personally. I don't think the base understands or wants to accept that our own military has grave concerns about its Commander in Chief.1 point

Let's just be glad you're not in a leadership role for this program because with this mindset of quitting we'd have a self fulfilling prophecy on our hands. I'm sure Frost doesn't see anything you listed as insurmountable or he wouldn't have come here. He knows how special this place is. It has so much going for it and you've failed to mention any of those things. Because you're either not a person who tries to overcome hurdles and see only the negatives in a situation or you're an Iowa fan.1 point

I will address the "diversity of females on campus" part... Ummmm...let me put this in non-offensive context for our more easily offended posters... Dudes on the team loving banging girls from the state.1 point

Why don't you actually type out what you want to discuss then, because all of us are extremely confused with what you actually are looking to discuss... First I thought it was an alarmist video on the Virginia law, then it was a conspiracy about gun nuts going crazy and using their guns, now it's how the media manipulates everyone. So what do you really want to talk about.1 point

Not on purpose just trying to figure out what you are saying. This doesn't make sense to me because why would right wing propaganda (only places putting out the fear mongering stories) end objective be disarmament via convincing people they need to take the governor hostage? Any way you slice it that post is extremely far fetched.1 point
