  6. After seeing this game, I don’t expect to win another game this year. The offensive line is not good enough to establish a solid ruining game, especially short yardage on third downs. Special teams is not good enough and the penalties killing momentum and scores. Every team for the rest of the year will much better than Buffalo and I expect their QBs to equal or better than Van Trease. I am worried that OU will embarrass us with something like a 63-13 game.

  7. Four of our top eight WRs/TEs missed at least the better part of the game (mostly all of it). We left 23 points out on the field. We won in a blowout. There is still plenty to work on but that's not too shabby.

  10. Man. Some of you all need to watch some other football other than Nebraska. If you did. You might see that Nebraska is not the only team that struggles from time to time

  12. Seriously, I don’t get this? Are we playing perfect and dominate football. No, but good god, who is? We’re better than last year, I’ll say that. Lots better.

  13. It is the same numbers, every week. Very few of the losses are his fault, his OL stinks, his WR's stink and the RB's stink.

  15. That watching our running game makes me tired...it literally looks like our RB are trying to run into the defensive person...more an OL issue than RB issue though

  20. You asked me specifically and it looks like others have stepped in with solid, fact-based responses. But here goes: Donald Trump wanted to promote a vaccine cure to serve his re-election timetable. Who wouldn't? But Trump had been wrong about most things coronavirus since day one, and Harris and others were correct to wait for a green light from the medical profession. Republicans -- obviously -- would have done the same thing had a Democrat been in office. You mis-phrased what Harris actually said. So go easy on the "what facts do we have wrong?" angle. Covid is not deadly to everyone. Vast majorities of people get it and don't die. But in less than a year it became the #3 killer of Americans, now 650,000 dead and re-surging. If the deaths of thousand of people unlucky enough not to have natural immunity isn't enough, the millions of cases are putting a tremendous strain on our healthcare system and economy. This is what I mean by taking a couple "facts" and extrapolating things that are wildly untrue. The tune hasn't changed on remdesivr and HCQ. They have always been considered worthy of study but remain unproven as COVID cures and preventatives, and by any metric far behind the success rate of the current vaccines. Maybe late night comics are having too much fun with Ivermectin, but it falls in the same camp. It's not only Republicans that are refusing the vaccine. But...uhm.....there is an undeniable pattern going on. And yes, you can get the vaccine and still need hospitalization, but at the moment we're seeing 95% of COVID hospitalizations are unvaccinated, and 5% are vaccinated, or roughly the huge advantage the vaccines promised in their initial efficacy tests. Which begs the question I asked in my earlier post: why are Chamrock and others going to such great lengths to stretch a dubious fact or two into a really inaccurate and disingenuous conclusion? Since vaccines have been so incredibly successful, accepted, celebrated and even mandated in the past, why are so many people looking for any way to discredit the COVID vaccine? I have my theories but I'm interested in hearing yours.

  22. I posted about cops forging vaccine cards. It is a sad state of affairs that it comes to that. Vaccinated is definitely more favorable than not. I didn't read him to say the vaccines are not effective. I read it as they are not the end all that we thought they were. And, it's the Vaccinated population that drives mutations...not unvaccinated. In the end, Covid has shown it is not going to go away, regardless of who gets Vaccinated or doesn t.

  23. KYLE VANTREASE, QB for buffalo. He was awfully efficient last week and we have a tendency to make average QBs all look like Patrick mahomes around here.

  24. I didn't question Guy. I asked for his outlook. I already said what I think was accurate in the original. I asked you what was inaccurate. I didn't say I approve or disapprove, just that he didn't post anything that wasn't factual. Do you disagree?

  26. Even field a **** punt???? Just play a base punt protect to avoid a fake and literally don't even have anyone run back to attempt to field it or block.... don't attempt to field another one for the rest of the season until you hire a special teams dedicated coach.

  27. 1st, The keyboards on Lenovo laptops are crap! China crap! But low cost. I guess it is true that you get what you pay for. Love my company Dell keyboard. I'm cheap. Now for week 2 for the Nebraska Gambler. Take Buffalo and the points. Spread is sitting at 13.5 NU the favorite. O/U at about 54-55. I suggest taking the over. Here is why... Middle to strong NU fans should hedge their feelings now. Take Buffalo, just in case. Both teams had blowout wins against FBS teams. Buffalos have a young coach with recent Texas and B12 high school background. point above will be trouble for NU. This part is like terrroisim. Terrorist only have to be on target one time, defenders, every time. NU isn't very good. The + 13.5 points will be the difference. Frost and his staff will have trouble with the Buffalo offense. Adjustments will be an issue. The ball and chain says dinner is ready, got to go.

  30. Thought AM played another good game, really did good avoiding the rush and threw the ball well. Props to him. Thought the line sucked balls today and needs to get much better to beat the mid tier Big10 teams.

  31. 2-1 in games we shoulda won. Frost’s destiny is still squarely in his hands. I rip on the guy my fair share, but if he finds a way to win 7+ he deserves a major hat tip. Keep grinding Frost.

  32. It was really interesting watching Oregon v OSU before Nebraska v Buffalo. In year 4 now I expected our offense to run more similarly to Oregon’s. Oregon has a great OL, they protect the QB, their backs get through the holes, the QB is efficient with his throws and can run when needed. They use the TE well and go up tempo as needed. The WR’s are good and have to be respected downfield but it’s not a big air it out pass offense. When I watch our offense we don’t base run well. Then it sort of turns into backyard football with what can 2AM do with his arm or legs. This can work ok vs like a Buffalo but is very concerning next week vs OU and going into Big 10 play. So I’ll take the win but the eye test is we have a long way to go with this offense which by now I would have thought would be more dominant.

  33. It's clearer now. The issue has made Adrian look poorer against better comp. I'm not saying Adrian has played at all conf levels, but our O Line is awful. Thanks, Austin and Duval. Also, Toure is better than Wan'dale. Without him we may be yelling at the WR group more too.

  42. That statement is false. Monoclonal antibodies if used within 10-14 days of infection have shown to reduce hospital rates. That’s means it’s a protective therapeutic.

  44. This is what Harris said I don't blame her considering Trump would have done anything to get reelected. Even strong arming the FDA. Did it work? No but at the time she said it anything was possible. I didn't say covid is deadly to everyone. I said within every demographic there are cases of death. Big difference. The Delta variant has show that what we knew in 2020 changed. What about the next variant? Will it attack currently less susceptible demographics? Delta has. Another reason why we all need to get vaccinated. To reduce the amount of viral mutations. So saying there are currently protective therapeutics (whatever that means) is false. Thanks. Vaccines do slow the spread. Sorry you don't understand how. If everyone in a gathering is vaccinated the chances of spread are reduced dramatically. Expand that over a large population. None of what you posted is true. Hostile? Maybe because we have a cure that saves lives. And yet deaths are once again through the roof. Why are you hostile to the concept of everyone getting on board and stamping this thing down to a manageable level? Instead you seem to want to enable the whiners who refuse to get vaccinated when almost all have been vaccinated for other serious diseases before.

  45. Harris said she wouldn't get a vaccine Trump told her to. The FDA obviously didn't get strong armed by Trump or anyone else. Covid is not deadly to everyone. Vast majorities of people get it and don't die. If you are elderly and obese you run a higher risk, for sure. I have no informed information on therapeutic remedies, but do know that the tune has certainly changed on remdesivr and HCQ since 2020. Vaccine skeptics indicated that approval would help, but as I stated elsewhere...we are probably at stasis right now regarding who will (willingly) get the jab. And it's certainly not just Rs that are not doing so. Vaccines may or may not slow transmission. You can still contract, carry, and pass the virus after being vaccinated. It may keep you out of the hospital, but there are lots of folks in the ER who have got the jab. Why are you so hostile to anyone that voices these truths?
