Who has 2 thumbs and a pair of tickets to 2 different Taylor Swift concerts this summer?
-
B1G refs had a terrible night (especially if you are a UGA fan). They missed or called incorrectly at least 3 game changing plays (blocked punt, facemask, unsportsmanlike) that all benefited Bama.

I haven't read the OU/UT to the B1G thread. I see it is 4 pages. Is it the st!tshow of a thread that I think it might be?

@Comfortably Numb last week the day before it snowed we hit 68. What a kick in the nuts to drive home from work the next day in a snowpack.
-
Tickets for the game Saturday night are expensive. Nosebleeds are going for $200 per ticket!
We really want to go, but damn, wasn’t planning on shelling out $500+.

Had wrist surgery this morning. They put a nerve block on my arm instead of putting me under. Arm still feels asleep and like it weighs 200 lbs. No pain yet though, so that's a good thing...

I'm here for the gang bang

Anyone ever had TFCC surgery in their wrist? I have a torn tendon/ligament/somthing in the TFCC. Had been getting cortisone shots the last couple years, but doc said it time to operate.

Super excited to see GnR this weekend. Hoping that Axl/Slash can coexist for a few more days...

Clay Travis, online provocateur, routinely rants about how twitter mobs are killing our society. Clay Travis, Vol fan, incites a twitter mob (including posting AD Currie's cell #) to stop Schiano from getting hired. I mean...

@dudeguyy except that he's only linked to Sandusky because someone on the stand threw him under the bus. He was investigated multiple times (including prior to his NFL gig) and was found to not be involved at all.
And Schiano would have been a good hire for Tennessee IMO. Oh well, looks like Tennessee will go from having a coaching vacancy to possibly having a coaching, AD, and possibly School President vacancy.
Oh and to add insult to injury, multiple sites have suggested that Schiano could successfully sue Tennessee for the $20m that the contract was worth. I know he didn't sign a contract, but a LOI was signed by both parties, which would be enough.

Off the Disney boat and checking in from sunny (and windy) Cozumel. The number of adults (including males) who wear Micky/Minnie/Disney shirts at all times is staggering. And the adults who go to character/princess meet and greets w/o children have a screw loose.

@funhusker, +1 for the PCU reference, plus it's one of the best lines in that movie.

John Tyler, our 10th president, was born in 1790. He still has 2 living grandchildren.
A-f'n-mazing!

Found out that the high school neighbor girl who babysits our kids was one of the dancers in JT's halftime performance. That's pretty cool...

Good thing about having a historically crappy basketball program is that we are not caught up in this paying players scandal, as it seems every blue blood program is in the latest yahoo story.

Guys--this is the FBI looking into this s**t, not the NCAA. Last time I checked PMITA prison isn't something the NCAA can hand down as punishment, and people are already singing to them. This is gonna get big, it's gonna take big names (like Izzo) down, and we're probably gonna see a lot of the top tier talent immediately up and leave NCAA Basketball overnight for the the pros.
The upside to all this is that since our guys weren't projected to be top-tier NBA talent just yet, none of them have been on the dole. This means when Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, and/or Purdue lose their talent, we'll be projected to be one of the top teams in the B1G next season!
-
@VectorVictor, I know the FBI is investigating but the NCAA will react to it and deal with the schools listed in the report. Judging the list of schools and names involved, the NCAA won't do much.
Why are you lumping in Ohio State, Michigan, and Purdue in this. I haven't seen any of those schools or coaches implicated. If this were football, I would be a little more worried for schools like OSU and Michigan.

World Cup 2026!

@sho the World Cup is expanding to 48 teams (from 32) in 2026, so it won't have a huge impact on teams qualifying if all 3 nations (US, Mexico, and Canada) are given bids to the tournament.
-
@ColoradoHusk @schriznoederThat definitely makes it easier to give 3 host nations auto bids. Should help other lower teams in CONCACAF get a shot at making it now too.

So is this rock bottom?

Hot Take: We need to leave The Mayor nickname in Ames.

His nickname may hinge on his, his wife's and his mother's Twitter handles. Until they don't reference the Mayor, we may have to accept it. Personally, I kinda like it and as @Savage Husker said, bonus if it pisses off Iowegans.

Preseason polls need to go the way of the dodo. Florida a top 10 team? LOL

I could really go off on how absolutely stupid these gender reveals, couples engagement showers, etc. have become. It's just people wanting to feel more important than they are and one upping others on social media. It's stupid, please stop. But the thing that gets me in this story is that some writer chose to say they "inadvertently" detonated a pipe bomb. They may have inadvertently killed Nana but I'm quite sure they fully intended to set off the bomb they obviously built for the event. I'd call it a Darwin moment but I'm guessing it didn't kill the correct person(s).
