Bolt is extremely intriguing to me because he was here during the golden years of NU baseball. He was a team captain for the best teams NU baseball ever had.

He went to the CWS and thus I'd think his standard of success would be getting us back there.

I'll preface this by saying that I think Will Bolt would be a capable head coach and that I would be just fine if NU hired him.  But it seems that a lot of people are putting a lot of weight into the "Nebraska ties" thing lately, at all HC openings.  Do we always need a coach that has ties here?  Go out and get the best coach that we can.  If that happens to be Bolt then great.

Looking forward to watching them in Lincoln Tuesday.  Got some tickets for my girls and I to go watch them.   They are pumped.

I was fine with the ending.  It is what I expected since I knew for the last couple years that it was only going to be 6 episodes long.  

The number of transfers we're bringing in is alarming, but the reality is that we almost have to just to re-stock the roster. Otherwise this year's team would be almost nothing but freshmen, and going forward we'd have a bulge in the classes, where one year's class greatly outnumbers the players from other classes.

I successfully avoided MAJOR spoilers and saw the episode mostly fresh. Like, 99% fresh, as it turned out.

As a Duke Basketball fan since the 90's I would've freaked out.........Duke isn't the same team without this guy! Freak of nature on the basketball court! Would SMASH everything Laettner did and Duke if he played for 4 years. 

That'd be a fascinating case study. I think college basketball is more devalued than college football because of the one-and-done rule, at least in terms of overall perception of the two sports. So far, no players have foregone the CFP in favor of the draft/NFL. I don't know if anybody has forgone the NCAA tournament for the NBA.

Does the Willis McGahee injury, where they replayed his knee being destroyed over and over, impact the decision making by recent players? Or any other recent injuries?

Side note...Ken Siemek was my little league baseball coach when I was about 11 or 12 years old. First year of steel cleats and he taught us how to clear the guy off the bag by sliding with one foot up about crotch high 

For comparison, Keystone got 55" of snow.....in the last 7 days.

This has been a rough year here in Omaha and reminds me when I lived in the Spokane WA area. 2008-2009 was the snowiest season I’ve experienced. We were, I think, 1/10th of an inch shy of breaking the season record with about 93” of snow. Record 30-day snowfall of 62”, record 19” of snow in 24hrs, and received 36” in the week...people cross-country skiing through the city. Completely buried my car lol.

@knapplc He knew the rules and be broke them. Whether or not those should be the rules is entirely another issue. And he should be penalized for it because he broke the rules and the vast majority of players seem to manage not having it be a problem. But yeah, the NFL should maybe consider removing weed from banned substances.

It's just a shame that weed has caused him to not reach his potential every step of the way. It negatively affected him at NU and it definitely has been a problem since. Not all of the problems he's had with it would be solved by making it legal.

@Danimal, paying for a handy is also illegal, maybe it shouldn't be.  But until then, maybe Kraft should just find a way to handle it like millions of others do.
