Super NES Classic: 21 games, including StarFox 2, two controllers, coming out in September for $79.99. I can't wait to not be able to purchase one!

Zoogs--the emulation is signifigantly better with these than what was on the Wii Virtual Console (different company) and the output is upscaled to 1080p. And while it's great if you still have a SNES and games...chances are you can't save your progress unless you cracked the cartridge to replace the watch batteries.

Man...remember the time after Bo was let go when posters suggested we go after Richt at Georgia? And those posters were accused of abusing illegal narcotics by other posters?
Those were good times...

Anyone done club volleyball for their daughter here? Need someone I can ask a few questions/get a sanity check on a situation from, if you don't mind.

Hey Walder Frey what have you done? Hey Walder Frey who's the only one? It's a nice day for a...red wedding...

You lucky SOBs in Lincoln get to see Red Green on May 7th at the Leid, while Dallas doesn't get one? Nice...

So David Bowie has been taken from this mortal coil, and we're all the poorer for it. At least we got one final album from this artistic and financial genius.

Another year...another sad reminder that we don't have a new college football game to play and that NCAA Football 14 isn't backwards compatible on the XB1.

@ZRod, I only mentioned XB1 since it actually has backwards compatibility with many 360 (and soon original XBox) titles and could actually be made compatible.
Problem is, it's purely EA's decision on this, and EA is being willfully obtuse on not making this game BC--it won't violate any of the terms of their legal agreement, as they're not selling the game, and EA still has the servers up (as CDog reminded us above).

The ultimate indictment of the Riley era is having to score a last-second TD to get an upset win against a 3-3 Purdue.

I think a bigger indictment of the state of the program is that our fan base can't enjoy a victory. There is a difference between being critical and being negative. With your mindset there was nothing the team could have done that would have left you with a positive attitude. There are lots of reasons to want a new coach, but don't let a victory be one of them.

For the people that have complained that Weird Al doesn't ever have any original songs: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/weird-al-yankovics-vanity-tour-hits-new-york-w518293

@Danimal thanks, I’ll check it out.

Don't look now, but the Kansas City Royals are leading the MLB remedial division known as the AL Central. I must resist getting my hopes up...

I really wish we'd move Thanksgiving back to October, the same time the Canadians celebrate it. All it is anymore is a starter pistol for Holiday shopping...

Lyanna Mormont is perhaps Game of Thrones' MVP of the whole season.

Yesterday was my first day with NFL Season Ticket on DirecTV. What a truly incredible experience.

So certain people are pissed off about a non-white Santa? I wonder what would happen if we reminded these same people Jesus wasn't white?...

So we have to wait until Halloween for a new season of Stranger Things? FFS...

Got my BFAM and his wife coming down from Nebraska with Nebraska beers, Fairbury Hot Dogs, Runzas, and most importantly, themselves. Should be a good week next week...

In all honesty now with no spin or bulls$$t...who is picking up Destiny 2 today? And for what console?

@Enhance I played the beta and not an issue at all. Yes aim assist was there but it took 1 look in settings and disable no more worries. I played with it on originally without even thinking about it and it was smooth either way.
@VectorVictor Not a fan of consoles myself so i stick with PC whenever possible.

Wow...Scott Frost as our new HC *AND* Warner Bros. just removed Zach Snyder from making any more DC Comic movies! Looks like some of us have been exceptionally nice this year...

Thank you for being a friend...

Is Row 3, Section 26 behind the Purdue sideline high enough for an unobstructed view? Getting tickets for my family, want to make sure they're just not staring at Purdue ass all game.

My guess is row 3 on either side will be pretty obstructed by the players and people on the sidelines. But I will say you also don’t want to be on the sides, in the first level, further back than row 40. Those are under the overhang of the 2nd level and it’s sort of like looking out of a tunnel and you don’t get the feel of actually being in the stadium when you can’t see 90% of the crowd or the sky. Plus there are the columns to deal with. We were in section 1, row 44 and they weren’t great. I suppose they’d be okay in a downpour....
-
@Moiraine we’re talking a five year old...so short. I’m thinking this seating would be good if they’re a bit older...but for now, probably not.

What are the best places for KC Barbeque in Kansas City? Wanted to hit one or two at the end of the month here...

@huKSer from Dallas, we're coming up Hwy. 75 and going north on it all the way to I-44, then I-44 east to I-49, then I-49 north to Kansas City.
As for getting there...I'm driving a minivan and I've played Oregon Trail. I'm gonna caulk the van and float it down the river. Hopefully one of the kids doesn't get dysentery before then.

I miss Tunnel Walk of Shame. It's been forever since we've had one of those.

So who works in Omaha and can give me dirt/intel on ProKarma? Looking into a full-time gig (read: not contract) with them, want to know details before I potentially move my family 700 miles north.

Hmmm, well I've heard of this happening at some other IT firms in town so it's not completely out of the blue. I would have so many questions though. If I were moving, I'd feel way more comfortable getting a offer from an actual company versus working for a staffing company. Make sure you talk to some of the other IT folks they have doing this so you can get the straight scoop. If they refuse to let you do that or worse yet, don't have anyone you can talk to, that would be a huge red flag for me.

@Xmas32 Good call, thanks.
