The BCS came AFTER the Bowls..You're probably too young to remember what it was like before the Big10/Pac joined "the Aliance" allowing Michigan to hide from us in the '97 Rose Bowl.

I'm not even sure that the best team would've won that, and a playoff wouldn't guarantee those two would even meet.

The BCS however gives us a better chance to have that meeting in the future.

@suh_fan94--Reading comprehension...? WTF are you talking about? You said that March Madness is "more exciting" (better) than bowl season. Numerous people have refuted your statement (including myself) and you continue to stand by it. Maybe you should think about what you're arguing and at least have some facts to reinforce it. How many 30+ point bowl games were there? Are you just saying things or do you actually have facts to back your statements up?

Growing up in Husky country, haven't heard a single jump for joy from dawgs fans I talk to daily. Could be hate for BSU, "it could be worse" hire, or combo. He recruited a low academic, gimmick offense ran by great college QBs in a low defensive caliber conference. Lots of question marks

This is kind of along the same lines as the fantasy hockey league I've ran for years. I follow hockey religiously. And I've never won my own league once. I used to like Van Pelt.  My only real problem is he rambles on a lot during the broadcast with long winded lead in's and general commenting.  I do like his style though when he's doing highlight commentary.

I've wondered myself why our coaches ignore IWCC. They consistantly have juco all americans. I can't think of one we recruited or signed. They are in our backyard too.

Being very close the CB area, and a Husker freak, I was hoping that Neb would use IWCC as their developmental program...IWCC is one of best, but Neb hasn't tapped in ???
