The assault happened August 25th. I presume some initial investigation was done after she reported it (maybe the next day, 8/26?) and it was announced they were off the team on 8/28. That's decently quick action, I'd say.14 points

Given our propensity to declare the backups as better than the starter, I hereby declare Logan the starter from day one. Just getting that out there.10 points

I have been saying it all year, and even last year. The Offense deserves most of the blame for the lack of success in two years. All the talks about firing Chinander because his side of the ball didn't get the last stop of the game when he kept teams scoreless for a whole half are insane. You will not win games if you do not score after turnovers, in your red zone, or after your defense gets 3 consecutive stops. Be critical with the head man and OC because they're the ones calling the cute plays, moving away from Mills, not developing young WRs, and keeping an overrated QB in.9 points

We better hope because a JUCO with 4 for 3 eligibility and is immediately able to contribute is damn hard to pass up especially with how poor our ILB play is7 points

Normally I wouldn’t do this, but coming from the person that uses 4 periods for an ellipsis? The irony is real.5 points

Maybe we were as committed as he was. If he was going to look at other schools while committed then we were going to look at other LB's. There's not much room to be upset when you were treating someone the same way they were treating you.5 points

Didn't Frost basically kicked them off the team based on the feedback he initially received? I don't see what Frost did wrong here?4 points

Maybe, I was just pointing out that our offense hasn't exactly been a juggernaut for the last decade either. When someone states how poor our defense has been for so long and then in the next sentence talks about the great Nebraska offenses of old, it makes me question some revisionist history here.3 points

Every intelligence agence in the US claims Russia meddled in the 2016 elections = Fact Trump meets with Putin secretly and comes out looking like a whipped dog in a joint press conference proclaiming, "I don't see why it would be Russia" and "I believe Putin when he tells me" = Fact Putin claims it was Ukraine that meddled in the 2016 elections = Fact Every intelligence agency and investigation in the US proves it was Russia NOT Ukraine that meddled in the 2016 election = Fact Republicans like Trump, Graham, Kennedy and their media outlets (the ones listed) including Fox News continue to promote it was Ukraine that meddled in the 2016 elections = Fact Republican propagandists like Tucker Carlson have come out recently claiming they support Russia and don't see anything wrong with Putin = Fact Congressional investigations came out recently claiming that there is no evidence Ukraine meddled in 2016 elections = Fact Republicans are still promoting the theory it was Ukraine that meddled in 2016 elections = Fact Putin (and other world leaders obviously) is laughing at how stupid the Republicans are = Fact. Not sure how the statement is incorrect.3 points

Did you watch the Minnesota game? How many points did we put on the board with Vedral at the helm? That was his shot to show he was significantly better than Martinez and we put up seven points. Iowa's entire defense crashed down towards him when he rolled out because the scouting report showed he's a run-first guy. That sprung Spielman wide open. So yes, it was practically a trick play in that regard. How people can't understand this is pretty confusing. Frost even explained this in the post game presser.3 points

Enlighten us on Frosts history that shows he probably isn't a good coach? Because that isn't what I see when I look at his coaching career. I see a coach who has been a part of success everywhere he has been3 points

Very good read on this prospect: https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/nebraska-in-prime-position-to-land-texas-junior-college-receiver/article_585b7fa7-c56a-5c58-b554-2ea4fe14efb3.html Also if you haven't checked out his highlights, I HIGHLY suggest it. Dude is an NFL caliber WR. He gets almost every jump ball, makes one handed Odell type catches, has Julio Jones type range and sideline catching ability, knows where his feet are, and is a burner. He's not a quick twitch guy like Wandale but his route running is still very good. In highschool he was right between CeeDee Lamb and Charleston Rambo in the rankings.2 points

If the police investigation is still ongoing, a 2.5 year ban from UNL might be least of concerns. I dont know how many times men need to be told "Just because she doesnt say no, doesnt mean she is providing consent" If she doesnt provide consent and you have sex with her, that is rape.2 points

He most definitely had a committable offer when he committed two weeks ago. Coaches tweeted about him specifically, excited, when he announced. Something changed.2 points

Do you think this has any correlation with them increasing the playing time of the true freshmen in the last few games? I don't have the stats but they played more true freshmen in those last 3-4 games than they did all year while trying to preserve their redshirt. If there is correlation, I think the future is brighter at the end of the season than it was at the start.2 points

I'd sum up my backup QB feeling this way - McCaffrey was exciting to watch and has a ton of potential. I didn't see anything from him that made me more excited than I had been watching Martinez last year, which isn't a knock on McCaffrey at all. So either Martinez steps back up or McCaffrey does, and both have shown the ability to be game changing players. I expect every player to have to continue to earn their playing time, QBs included.2 points

I just don't know how there can be such a difference of opinion when watching the same games. It's sad that Martinez could not be more successful this year, but watching the games made it obvious that he just didn't have it. Both McCaffrey and Vedral look to have more energy and confidence. I just don't see what you people are watching. McCaffrey's touchdown was not a trick play at all. It was a sprint out pass thrown perfectly for a touchdown.2 points

First of all, we would never bring in Strong as a Co DC because he isn't a 3-4 guy. Off the bat that doesn't make sense. We would need to fire Chinander and change schemes again. This isn't my opinion, I'm just telling you what is actually going to happen and that is Erik Chinander will be our DC next year. It doesn't matter how you or I or anyone else except the people in charge feel about it. I'm not saying we should have blind faith in them, I'm just telling you what they are going to do. Frost wanted time for his staff, Chinander has improved the defense. At this point firing Chinander isn't an option. Again that is less my opinion and more just the reality of the situation. If you want to keep playing in make believe land thinking Chindander is going to get fired or demoted you can go ahead but you are going to be severely disappointed next season when Chins is our lone DC.2 points
